We happened to chance upon this place based on google reviews. It’s in the basement of a complex (same place as Molly Blooms Irish Pub) and the food was FANTASTIC and the service was PHENOMENAL... the commitment that Joseph has to making the ingredients from...scratch made us awestruck... simple food but made with so much passion and the hot sauce is a treasure...Thanks for a great lunch experience and we will definitely be back!!! The grinder is cranked by hand everyday to make the crushed dal for the Dalpuri rotis -More
You definitely need to try this place! Dishes are all handmade and have the freshest ingredients. Go for the goat or beef roti and the doubles!
The owner makes all the roti and doubles bread by hand himself. Very fast service of a huge portion of delicious wrapped roti served piping hot. I could have eaten a bowlful of the delicious homemade mango chutney served on the side. We were treated...to a taste of the doubles when I asked what it was and was told “only the best breakfast food around!” We ate in the restaurant which gave us an opportunity to chat with the friendly owner. His menu is varied and can be delivered by Good Eats. We brought our leftover chicken and vegetable rotis home for another meal. Lots of vegetarian/vegan options! And if you are looking for good ol Caribbean sofa pop, you can find at least 4 flavours including classic ginger beer. The tough part aside from deciding what to order will be finding this hidden gem. Lower level of the Selby building.More
Finally found some authentic and delicious doubles in London!! Very satisfied! The owner made me a very large order, and we thoroughly enjoyed the doubles.
Excellent roti! Delicious flavors, with your choice of heat level. Size portions are HUGE. One order can definitely be shared, still leaving you full and satisfied after! My personal favorite is their goat roti(yummm!) The place is just simple and small...almost like a secret (that you happily...uncovered). The guy there is friendly and open. First heard raves of their roti during Sunfest season, but,by the time we get there...they'd sold out. So that speaks volumes.More
I know of trini man from sinfest. I've recently visited his restaurant and the food was so delicious! This is authentic Trinidadian cuisine. The food was so flavorful. This is definitely my new favorite.
Was in London during the Labour Day Weekend and wanted something different for dinner. So we tried the Triniman Kitchen. We had a chicken and a beef roti. Full of flavour, not too spicy, but not to pedestrian either. Visit this place once and you...will visit it again and again.More
Simple place, but lots of flavor and variety. Unfortunately they were out of jerk - sells out really fast. But the Chicken curry wrap, chicken stew and doubles were great.
Everything was prepared from scratch, with the owner's own recipes. Joseph is really friendly, great atmosphere
The food was out of this world and not your usual Caribbean flavors. Joseph puts food on the plate that will dance on your tongue. His special touch with spices make it different then the others. Try his homemade scotch bonnet sauce as well. Service...was great, price is right and the simple setup makes you think you should be coming back for more.More
I ordered chicken roti and a double to go because a friend recommended this place. The deliciousness will haunt my dreams. You could get something mild - but why? The house made hot sauce makes your face tingle - but it isn't a torture test....Not hot for the sake of being hot but rather tons of flavour with a wonderful heat behind it. The place was empty but the phone was ringing off the hook for take out orders on a Saturday afternoon. I brought my meal home and for 15$ got some of the most tender chicken and beautifully seasoned potatoes and chickpeas imaginable and I have leftovers. Excellent. Try it.More
I had never tried this kind of food before. I had a chicken roti and it was delicious. It had so much flavour. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for something more unique than the regular burger/fry place at lunch.
Ever since my first try at Triniman, I have continuously impressed with the food and welcoming atmosphere here. The food is all made with care by an amazing and friendly cook. Truly, this is a must try place for downtown London.
I recently returned from a trip to Grenada and was craving that Caribbean taste I experienced down there. I had heard of this place called the Triniman Kitchen and was hoping the cuisine would take me back to the Island's and sure enough it did....I ordered the goat roti and my dinner companion ordered the jerk chicken. We went in about 45 minutes before close and the owner was more than happy to serve us. Our food was ready in about 10 minutes. Joseph, the owner, put on some soca music which also reminded me of my recent trip. The roti was huge, tender chunks of goat with well seasoned potatoes. My dates jerk chicken was tender and well seasoned and was accompanied with rice, coleslaw and some vegetables. Another couple came in about 15 minutes to close and Joseph was more than welcoming and happy to serve them as well. My only regret was no licence so no Carib Lager even though Joseph was sporting a Carib t-shirt. Maybe next visit it will be licensed.More
