This place is awesome, the pork banh mi is to die for. You will be asked if you want it spicy, I recommend YES! Go with spicy, it's delicious. It isn't too hot, just a nice tingle on the tongue that rounds out the taste...experience. Banh mi is a really interesting dish that is like no other sandwich but damn so delicious. It's not like other asian foods that I find are fiddly and unsatisfying. A single banh mi sandwich will fill you up! I swear I could eat these for lunch the rest of my life and never get bored! This is one of those businesses that I hope will stick around for a long time. The only downside to this place is that the hours are a little unpredictable and they tend to close early. I really wish they'd open later as I tend to want to eat late, but they usually close at around 8pm. Come early to avoid disappointment, and call ahead to make sure they know you're coming so they don't close early. This place doesn't stick to its posted hours. Checked the hours online and saw that it's open from 11am-9pm from Monday-Saturday. Drove all the way there to discover that it was closed, despite the "open" sign being on and the hours posted on the door...were the same as online. Waited for 20 minutes and it was still closed. My husband and I tried Bahn Mi Express for the first time a few weeks ago. We have since returned several times. The food is made fresh to order and is very flavorful. We have tried the pork and beef sandwiches, sushi burrito and regular...sushi. All items were fresh and tasted amazing. This is now our go to takeout spot!More

Low on atmosphere but high on taste. Exceptional bread, flavourful pork, and great balance of sweet, sour and spicy. Honestly felt like they could charge $14 off a hipster food truck but a bargain at $6.99 for a sandwich. This is going to be go-to...takeout for us from now on.More

This place is legit! I definitely recommend the pork, menu item #1. It's the true way to experience banh mi. I have tried the tofu banh mi here and did not enjoy it. But who the hell gets tofu banh mi, smh at myself. I...have eaten at the holy grail of banh mi sandwich places in Hoi An, Vietnam so I can tell you this place can hang. Service was great, a friendly young guy by himself doing it all. Ordered the chicken Banh mi with hot sauce and it was amazing. The chicken was very tender and flavorful, the vegetables were tender-crisp and the bun perfectly toasted. Just a delicious sandwich served...up quickly. Small place on Richmond with a few chairs. I ordered the grilled pork banh mi. Took a few minutes for them to put my order together and when I got it, it was loaded with (delicious and marinated) pork. Veggies in the sandwich were okay....Bread was okay. The banh mi was $7 before tax (which is about how much a footlong sub from Subway would cost me). Overall it was a satisfying lunch.More
