I called to make reservation, someone said they didn't take reservation and for two people we didn't need it. When arrived, a crumby girl, not very friendly told me they are fully booked for the day. I got upset and spoke to the manager, she...took us in, and we Thank you her.
Server is another story. Not very friendly, he rushed our order. First time for us at this restaurant, I asked for recommendation, he declined. For us is unacceptable to not having a good service in an expensive restaurant.
Foods are extremely poor quality. The presentation not appealing at all. When I looked at my Lamb shank, I said, "WHAT? I didn't want to eat" disgusting look., no taste. Temperature for our foods came out warm to the cold side.
Menu is a NO NO for an upscale restaurant like Massimo's. They have only few selections and not special at all. Price is expensive for the cheap foods they serve., and small portion. We were very disappointed. Food at Kelsey's or average restaurants would taste much better and more appealing on a plate.
A couple sat beside us ordered only one starter, one main course for sharing then left. LOL.
We spent also $300 for food and one beer and one Ice Wine. for nothing. DO NOT order Ice Wine. They tricked me, for something else. Ice Wine, never taste source and plain. or serve in a tall ugly glass that restaurants use for ice water. Then they replaced my wine with something all sugar. YUCKY, for $18, a Beer $11, Tea & Coffee $4 in a tiny cappuccino cup. Server never came back asked us if we want refill. LOL.
View of the Falls is OK not much to see, only if you get window seat otherwise, you can't see anything at all. You don't need to pay for your view. Be at the scene.
If anyone is looking for foods or want the experience at a fine dine for a date night or special occasion, I don't recommend this Massimo's. This just my thought.More
