Wow! What an amazing restaurant. Not our first visit, and a must when in Niagara. The apps (Caesar salad, cheesy garlic bread) were exceptional, and the prime rib was the best we’ve ever tasted. Remington’s never disappoints. The chocolate dessert was delicious. The staff are...so friendly and attentive. Loved hearing one singing waiter while we dined. Looking forward to returning.More
I wasn’t sure what I was expecting but Remington did not disappoint. Atmosphere was casual and comfortable with servers who will sing during your dinner. Our server, Sam was attentive plus one of the two singers tonight. Both very good singers. Food was yummy. Had...a nice relaxing meal. We would definitely go back.More
After a great anniversary dinner at Remington's last year, there was no argument - we would return this year. So glad we did. The food and service were perfect, and it was great to have the singing servers back. Unfortunately, my wife's filet minion was...undercooked (medium rather than medium well). No problem! Our server took it away, they refired the steak and returned it with a new order of fries. Then to top it over, they gave us a complimentary dessert. Will we return next year? If everyone works out, this will be top of the list. Can't find any negatives about this place.More
Found this restaurant not far from our hotel, not extensive menu but catered for most tastes. Hubby had the mussels is a tomatoes sauce and I had the crab cakes both delicious, we chose the same main seafood fettuccine, beautiful presentation the flavour was amazing...was a huge portion too.would really recommend this restaurant 😊More
I wanted to love this place. The full Western vibe and menu-centered prime rib screamed awesome steakhouse. However, in the end, it was okay food at a high price. Nothing was bad - just okay.
Immediately greeted and seated (reservation through Open Table). Staff was super friendly and helpful. The hostess came out and sang a song acapella in French - it was beautiful. The prime rib was good and the halibut was very good. Nice ambiance and good beverages....Highly recommend.More
Went for dinner with the wife. Prompt service. We were the only ones in the place, but server stayed attentive. Early dinner special was prime rib. Cooked properly to my request, most likely a larger serving than the advertised 8 oz. One large pet peeve...with me, a 3% BIF charge on my bill. The only reference to BIF fees I could find referenced on the internet involved costs to convert US currency to Burundi currency, or costs to publish required company financial documents. The only other references to BIF fees were other reviews commenting on the fees of this restaurant. Not a bad place to dine, but just be prepared for a 3% charge on your entire bill in addition to the 10% tourist tax.More
Very expensive! The prime rib machine overcooked the meat so we had to order even more expensive steaks and they were just average. Our waiter was friendly, but the food was just average.
Haven’t been in ages but things have changed. Garlic bread was terrible. All appetizers have shrunk considerably. Prime rib was ordered med rare came rare and very fatty. I had at least 8 oz of fat I removed. Then icing on cake was BIF. No...ty we are local and should not have been charged. The filet magnon was the worst I ever had. Ordered it medium, but it was well done. Sent it back and they cooked me another. Same result. Ordered next one medium rare and it was cook as requested. Overall, the steaks are a bit crusty,...that does not taste good. They comped the meal, but evening ruined.More
The General Manager and bartender, Steve, was exceptional. He was very gracious and he made great drinks. During dinner, our service was excellent and the food was good. The waitresses even sing! What a great place to go when you’re visiting the Canadian Niagara Falls!
Niagara Falls is a tourist area... so nothing is cheap. Went to Remington's because needed something other than fast food. Business associate ordered seafood pasta. It was a nice portion (could always use some extra seafood) but he enjoyed. I ordered two appetizers-- French Onion...Soup (perfect amount of cheese-- not too much and not too little) and appetizer crab cakes. I must say the crab cakes were absolutely delicious. There appeared to be additional seafood in the crab cakes besides just crab. Two were on the plate, and they were HUGE. My soup and crab cakes were almost as much as co-worker's entree'... not cheap but because of portion size, they were worth the price. Heard nearby diners mumbling about how long it took to actually get the food. I would agree. It took way too long. Actual service of staff was just right, attentive without being too much. I'll be in Niagara on business in another week and will go back.More
We had the roast beef dinner and it was excellent. It was very tender and flavourful. Our server Sydney was amazing. She had several tables to wait on but still made time to sing 2 songs while we were there. We would definitely go back.
Food and service was pretty good. However. The practice of adding an unadvertised Business Improvement Fee to the bill is bordering on unethical. If you check online (as I did after being subjected to the fee) you’ll see that many people have expressed similar concerns.
We were welcomed and seated and we ordered our prime ribs. 8oz for her 12 oz for me. We have been on 41 cruises some with specialty dining and nothing compares to the quality, taste and presentation of this dinner. A singing waiter even celebrated...my wife's birthday with desert and the birthday song. Our waitress was very attentive.More
