It was one of the few affordable food places in Niagara Falls. I had poutine and it was fantastic for coping with the cold winter blows.
As UK visitors, we wanted to try a famous beavertail. There were several options to choose from - we opted for the classic with cinnamon and sugar. In general, this was quite nice and the taste/texture reminded us of churros. The pastry did seem a...little greasy though. Not sure whether I would have another any time soon. Also ordered a strawberry lemonade which had clearly never even seen a hint of strawberry and tasted very artificial! Unfortunately, most of this drink went in the bin, very disappointing.More
A quick stop for dessert. Located in Clifton hill. Also had a beaver tail. Classic. At the food truck even at the casino.
The BEAVERTAIL was very good . Ak served us a banana beavertail . We will come back for sure . Great staff and food !!!
My other half introduced me to what is called here beaver's tails as it is made in the same style I used to have it as a child in a different part of the world, many thousands of miles away, only with powdered sugar -...as you find it in Europe. On this occasion we were both greedy and decided to have the one with chocolate spread and bananas due to it's size and sugar content - I cannot eat as many sweets as I used to eat as a child, now that my hormones are functioning a bit differently, thank God. I later on noticed in the car I walked with chocolate in the corner of my mouth and in the hair a bit - I hoped my other half would have told me this, but can you really trust a man to look carefully at you? And he ate more than me!!!!! This also tells you how great this is - most surely we will be back.More
i prefer american elephant ears...beavertails are WAY too nutty for me!!! :( -from Chloe Gioia, age 22
I went there with my 2 teenage daughters. They both loved Beaver Tails as well. It was small inside, no where to sit, you have to grab and go (don't forget napkins). But we found a small area to eat by the window because it...was freezing outside. One daughter had cinnamon sugar, myself and other daughter had the strawberry cheesecake. They are not thick like a donut but thin and airy. I would love to have one around us in Philly!More
This was our first experience with beavertails. We bought 3. Maple, Hazelnut and brownie. Brownie was too much but maple was our favorite. Service was just eh. I'd go back.
Small. Crowded. Very limited offerings. I’m not sure what else to say. Except I guess we expected a well filled, well laid out bakery with lots to choose from. Not that at all.
One of the best things Canada has to offer. I will think about these pastries till I have another one. This store was great, not too busy, and they have merch!
More like beaver fails. We purchased 3. They were small and toppings very sparing. We won’t be returning.
I knew I have to get one after seeing the pictures and raving reviews.. It’s delicious. Freshly fried dough upon order with many toppings to choose from. I chose the Apple pie and it was great.
Amazingly yummy. We went back twice and enjoyed each one we tried. Staff was friendly. Definitely worth a visit.
My family visited Niagara Falls yesterday and as a treat we decided to have a Beaver Tail. This was around 9pm - there was a line - so we waited. When I finally got inside I noticed that they were not freshly made - they...had a bunch of them made and stacked-some were already packed in the paper. We ordered ‘the classic’ and it was hard, crunchy hard, cold and inedible. We actually threw it out! They placed napkins inside the paper holder and it was completely saturated with oil. Very disappointed!!! Don’t waste your money!!! FYI- We have had Beaver Tails before but in Ottawa, ON and maybe you should send your staff there to learn how to make “fresh” “soft” “delicious” tasting Beaver Tails.More
