Went for dinner with my wife for our second time. Being a “local” it’s hard to find a place in the Falls that has good food, free parking, and expected prices. We’ve loved our food and had a little to take home. I highly recommend...the boxty. I wish I would have ordered one my first visit. It has an Irish pub feel and beers on tap to reflect that. We sat in the dining area both times, and didn’t really see the bar operation.More

An annual visit to the Falls always includes seaching out somewhere to eat that we haven't been to yet. First visit to Doc's won't be our last. Had dinner there, fantastic atmosphere, staff were friendly, service was just right (not too fast, didn't feel rushed...or to slow) and food was hot and tasted great.(had the Tour of Ireland).More

My husband and I went for Valentine's Day for dinner. Everything was delicious. Our appetizers were garlic bread, soft pretzels bites and mini chicken wings...Our entrées were the Fish'N'Chips and the Meatloaf...and our desert was a slice of Strawberry Shortcake..Our waitress was so nice and...gave some awesome recommendations...One of our best Valentine's Day dinners. I highly recommend eating here. You will not be disappointed.More

I took a friend for lunch here. The tables were not cleaned properly - sticky wet spots and spilled sugar or salt. The waitress was really good and very friendly. I ordered potato skins and instead of a crispy skin with bacon and cheese it...was more like a regular baked potato, the skin wasn't crispy at all and it was filled with mashed potato with a tiny bit of cheese, chives and bacon on the top. It tasted good but it was not what I expected. Then I ordered the fisherman's pie. It came in a strange high container and was hard to dig into and eat without spilling. I would have preferred it to be in a shallower more oval dish with more filling and less potato, also the potato on top should have been crisped up under the broiler, because it was just a thick wodge of mash. The sauce in the pie was very tasty. It came with caesar salad which was way overdressed and the lettuce was rusty. The dessert comprised peanut butter chocolate cheesecake and I found it quite tasteless and kept getting bits of peanut skin stuck in my teeth. So, overall, I was not impressed and I won't be going back anytime soon.More

We were staying at the BW Cairn Croft Hotel and only had to walk within the hotel to get to this nice Irish Pub. The staff were very nice and the atmosphere were very nice. Lots of choices of beers and the menu had lots...of good choices too. Most people liked their food. Their Potato Bacon Soup was very, very good, with lots of bacon and good taste.More

Just spent $146 in food. Was waiting for our server to come by to order another drink. Did not see her once throughout our whole meal. This made our whole experience rather disappointing.

Wow, our apologies as that is not how we run the restaurant and our servers are normally very good at being attentive to their tables. Please email Ryan@Cairncroft.com more details so we can resolve this issue internally please.

I had my 1st boxty. This will be the standard by which I judge all other boxties. Steak, mushrooms, potatoes, and a bit of gravy, wrapped in that savory pancake and topped with green onions and horseradish sauce. We were warmly greeted by Vicky, the...hostess. Our server Bekah was also prompt and efficient, as well as friendly. You must try this place.More

Unfortunately, most of the food and drink in Niagara Falls leaves much to be desired…we were pleasantly surprised by this place. The food was delicious and home-made- the Fisherman’s Pie was a remarkably good dish. Nice Irish pub ambience, also. Cheers!

Attached to the excellent Best Western Hotel, this is our 'go to' restaurant in Niagara Falls. Unique menu, friendly staff, timely service and excellent food at a very reasonable price. This time around, we both thought we'd try the 'Boxty'. My bride had the grilled...veg. with chicken, and I had the steak and mushroom. Both dishes were delicious, but go in hungry. What a treat. They also have an excellent breakfast menu.More

My wife and I had dinner here for a change of pace. Doc Magilligan's Restaurant & Irish Pub is the only real Irish restaurant we know of in Niagara Falls, ON. We had a delicious and delightful dinner experience. The wait staff was terrific and...the price was less than I expected to pay in a tourist town. All in all, we were very pleased with our experience at Doc’s and would go there again!More

Food was excellent! I had the taste of Ireland with smaller portions of shepherds pie, steak and mushroom pie and chicken pot pie. Flavors were amazing and a good amount of food for the price. My partner had bangers and mash and we shared the...boxty fries for an appetizer! It is a bit salty, but still delicious. Atmosphere was great. With live music! It wasn't too busy, but just the perfect amount. Definitely a great spot off the beaten path!More

The female bartender who served us by the name of Milena was extremely snappy . She had long dark hair .I went for lunch with my mother and we were the only table . After our lunch we discussed and we both felt the server.../ bartender was snappy towards us for the same incidents during our lunch. We were polite the entire visit .She yelled at my mom asking her if she wanted a refill of water for her tea bc my mom did not hear the server the first time since she was bent down picking something up while asking the initial question . My mom ordered a soup but did not specify which one but I guess the server over heard us discussing so when my mom ordered a soup I said she wants the Buffalo chicken and she snappily replied “ I got that “ in a negative tone . We also put the salt and pepper and drink menu on the table out of the way so we had more room for our plates and she got frustrated at this and rearranged it while taking our order . She also pretended not to hear me when I asked for a gravy and I know she heard me so when I finally ordered it as she came back to say anything else she said “ you mean another gravy right “ in a rude tone as if to correct me since we already had 1 gravy which was at the table already . This was just a few of the things that happened during our visit . When I asked for a bag with the to go food she responded “okay” in the rudest like what’s wrong with you tone . At the end when the bill came out it was like she was split personality and she was being so polite . She also kept us waiting at the end for the bill and I feel this was intentional bc you can tell by our body language and table we were ready to go - mind you we were the only table and even my mom comment she was just standing around for so long but gave us our to go box much much earlier . I don’t know what she had against us maybe bc we are not male and she’s about the flirting like thinking more tips - I don’t know ? I still tipped bc it’s service but no where near my usual tip . This lunch throw off the rest of our day which was my birthday too . Very disappointed. The food was good at least although I felt the inside of my shepherd pie could have been cooked more I was not about to mention it to her bc I had little trust in her due to the attitude. I wish I read the previous reviews first bc several previous customers have complained about unfriendly service as well . At what point will the owner stop sending a generic response “we will do better- hope you come again “ response and recognize that customer service is important and especially in Niagara . Your losing customers and money and ratings .clearly it’s been months since the previous reviews too and nothing has changed .More

Is a pub, so there's a chance that it might not be good for kids. Down the street is a nice place for kids, The Flying Saucer. Looks like you are in a space ship. And there's a McDonald's right next to the pub.
