A tasty selectin of savoury chimneys but, only one choice if you want to purchase a sandwich! You can order any filling you desire but you cannot choose a chimney of your taste... it has to be an aged cheddar or nothing...why is this so?...I ordered a sandwich and asked for a jalapeno and cheddar chimney only to be told that this was not available even though I was looking at them lined up and ready for sale. I asked why and was told that the only chimney used for sandwiches were the aged cheddar ones. I again asked why and offered to pay the price difference which is only 19 cents, to have the jalapeno chimney and was again firmly told no by 2 of the 3 servers. One of them actually said this was because if they made up one like that and someone else saw it, they would also want one. So what...what's the problem...all the chimneys are already made and ready for puchase with a minimal price difference? It's a great pity that staff at the Budapest Bakeshop are so inflexible because what would have been a treat and a perfect experience turned into a disappointment. I have racked my brain trying to figure out why this is the policy and tbh cannot think of any reason why this take it or leave it attitude exists. More potential profit obviously doesn't matter here. Poor show Budapest Bakehouse... time to join the 21st century!More

Nice funnel cakes but pricey for the size you get. Service was friendly. Just over $9 for a funnel cake. However, we go back when in area as these are hard to find.

Adorable little place. Just had to try it, given our Hungarian background. Never had anything like it, and glad that we did. Nice little surprise.

Really good and innovative sandwiches. Good price and a lot of options to choose. But there are no tables and seats to sit down and eat.

We were new to this bake shop, but heard rave reviews. We were not disappointed with our delicious “chimneys “. The line was fairly long to get in, but well worth the wait. The only negative was that the cue was not organized. Patrons could...not tell how the line worked, and when we asked the staff, they did not seem to know either! Luckily, we were a polite bunch, who were happy to work it out.More

Excellent, the chimney bread is so delicious. I would return here every day if it was local to me (so maybe a good thing it isn’t!). My veggie chimney sandwich was delicious and my husband’s sausage version was eaten so quickly I didn’t get a...picture!More

This is a must stop for a sweet and/or savory treat.. I like the banana pepper and cheddar and my husband enjoys the pizza one. We have also ordered sandwiches from here and the spread that they use is amazingly good. You will not be...disappointed!More

This place is fantastic and we returned the next day. We just had the plain chimneys and there were so fresh and delicious.

The Hungarian chimney is a unique sandwich experience with fresh, quality ingredients. Fast, friendly service. A must for our visits to NOTL.

Visited here during a “Niagara wow Tour” and will now have to come back because it was so delicious. I only regret that the Nutella chimney bread I got disappeared too quickly to take a picture. The staff were very friendly. They also have savory...chimney breads/sandwiches as well.More

Stopped here for a quick bite for breakfast at the recommendation of the shuttle driver for our hotel. We had lunch reservations in a couple of hours, so only wanted something very small to hold us over until then. We ordered and shared the “everything”...seasoning chimney cake, filled with cream cheese and tomato. It was delicious!! I’d never heard of a chimney cake before this trip. Would definitely stop back there next time we are in Niagara-on-the-Lake, and try a different kind of chimney cake, perhaps one of the sweet options for dessert.More

Never had a Chimney Cake before and only wish there were others near me. One of the best treats you will experience. Only wish they were open a bit earlier for breakfast.

We came here upon a high recommendation from our daughter and her husband. Unique and scrumptious. The Sausage Chimney shared before a play was fabulous and the Cinnamon Sugar Chimney lasted us two days. So very yummy!

The chimney cakes are to die for. I was in town for a work meeting and ate there 3 times and took some home. Bought a t-shirt so I would remember them. I cannot describe how delicious these are but let me just say I...dream about going back :)More
