Our second night at NOTL from Florida will not be forgotten. We Ran in Friday Eve with the Taylor Brown Band. Ten plus stars 🌟 Our daughters danced the night away. Scotch, beer, cocktails and a huge crowd made the evening go to fast. The...next day we returned for lunch and a flight of local brews. Good times ! -AlexandraMore

I was pleasantly surprised with how many vegan or vegetarian options this restaurant had. The beyond meat burger was great. The restaurant has a classic pub vibe.

Fantastic pub, the bartender was exceptional in both knowledge and personality. The atmosphere and customers made this one of my favorite places to drink in NOTL

We enjoyed our dining experience at The Olde Angel Inn. My daughter is a picky eater, but even she liked the chicken strips and fries! I had a burger with gluten free bread and was pleasantly surprised at how good the bread was....they took the...time to toast it and that made a big difference! Waitress was efficient even though it was a busy evening. Bathrooms were clean, but it's a narrow and steep staircase to get to them in the lower level, so be prepared if there is anyone in your party with mobility challenges. Compared to other restaurants in the area, we found this one to be affordable for our family. It was fun to have dinner in the restaurant and then hear about the history of it on the Ghost Walk later that evening.More

I have visited this pub about a dozen times. The food is delicious, that is why we keep going back. But the wait staff is very poor. Hostess did a walk by and threw the menu’s on the table. We waited about 30 minutes until...I walked up to the bar to see if it had changed and we had to do self order. When we got our food quickly it was hot and delicious. When we were done we had to go to the bar again after waiting close to 30 minutes. It was not busy. I wanted to write in hopes that the owner would see this and maybe they could work on it. The restaurant is very nice and the food is delicious but the hospitality is not good at all, it’s enough to may people not want to come back. I have never written a poor review ever and I’m not saying don’t go because the food is good but you may be very frustrated with the hospitality.More

This was THE spot to be in on a Friday night in Niagara-on-the-Lake and we managed to grab the last two seats at the bar. We were quickly served by the bartender and made friends with other guests seated around us. The bar made it...feel like you were all old friends coming together to chat about anything and everything. During the chatter we had heard a few comments made about the resident ghost of Captain Swazey, but didn't think much of it. I was unaware of the fact that the ghost was apparently most active in the basement where the washrooms are located but low and behold I ventured downstairs and had my very first encounter with a ghost. Of the two stalls in the women's restroom, both were occupied so I ended up waiting for someone to come out. After a few minutes I looked more closely at the stalls to make sure they were in fact occupied and I could see shadows and movement each, prompting me to continue to wait. Finally a woman came out of the one stall and told me that the other was open and I didn't need to wait for her stall. After looking once more at the stall I saw she was right. Now this encounter really didn't throw up any red flags or make me think I had just witnessed the movement and shadows of a ghost- that is until the next day on my ghost tour that apparently this very same occurrence I had happens very frequently to guests in the women's restroom where they see shadows or hear movement but there's no one there. I would absolutely go back to this place for the up beat vibe and wonderful people, but I probably won't be venturing to the washrooms anytime soon, especially alone. All in all a great experience, especially if you're a fan of the supernatural!More

While there is history surrounding this quaint hotel the stay was less than satisfactory. Amenities (TV and Cable were not functioning well) and impossible to watch, even with staff intervention. We missed the final Blue Jay game as a result. What was most distressing was...our room was right above the pub below and a live band played until close to 1am. It was impossible to get to sleep and to attempt a restful night subsequently. We should have been cautioned about this and we would not have booked here then. For the room charge rate this was a very expensive and unpleasant experience and certainly will not be repeated by us.More

This is an amazing pub. Oldest pub in Canada. But...maybe due to it being Thanksgiving day they were "slamed" says our waitress. My wife's order came out Really wrong. Ordered portobello mushrooms Bacon cheese burger. No mushroom or bacon, just regular cheeseburger. Meat was overcooked....We didnt mention that to her. She brought mushrooms on a plate when we brought up missing items but no bacon. Even though walking by us several times, she never asked how was lunch. I had to get her attention to get more water or soda. So brings the bill while I'm in the restroom. When I return, looking at it the screen goes blank. I guess it was too long without paying. She rolled eyes and heavy sigh having to reenter into little tabletop computer. For the first time in a long time I left no tip. I don't know if we were charger for what kind of cheese burger. The prices are on the menu She takes them when you order. I just paid and we left. What a shame service was bad. Maybe manager should tell customers we're busy and wait 15 or 20 minutes rather than keep seating them. My fish & chips was good, that and the ambiance is why two stars.More

We were served a splendid meal of Shepards Pie and an appetizer of Bacon Wrapped Scallops( 6 scrumptious versions). The food was hot and enjoyed by both of us. In particular, the bread(a large bun) accompanying my husband's Shepards Pie was quite satisfying. Service was...prompt and efficient. We have been to this restaurant a number of times over the past years. It is a "go to" for atmosphere, cold brews and well prepared food.More

A pub is the place to be on a drizzly fall evening, and the Olde Angel is no exception, what a cozy little place! I had the shepherds pie and hubby had the meatloaf. Honestly, I will crave that meatloaf; my pie was good, but...the meatloaf was exceptional. The bread pudding was to die for with an absolutely perfect caramel sauce. Our server Keffrey was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend eating here!More

We go to the Angel specifically for the Shepherd’s Pie which is yummy. My husband opted for the meatloaf & mashed potatoes with Guiness gravey which was delicious!

I believe it was classed as the oldest pub in Canada but can’t remember. Nice place to have a drink in more informal surroundings. Very akin to historic pubs we are used to in 🇬🇧 Staff were very friendly.

We were a family of 5, I think I called the same day for reservations that evening, but again, it was end of June so it was not as busy as it can get in July and August.
