Last minute date night. Wanted fish and chips, pub style. Tried another restaurants but they were too busy so we changed location. The name didn’t give away the charm. The old building was warm and friendly. The staff were quite pleasant. The atmosphere was more...than we ever expected. The fire was delightfully warm in the sleet weather. The food was also quite good.More

Really enjoyed the atmosphere of old English style pub. Low ceilings, great draft beer options and traditional English pub food which was tasty. Service was amazing and all covid protocols were handled efficiently and with as little fuss as possible which we appreciated. We will...return for sure.More

A lovely old building, original was built in 1789! We enjoyed the decor, lots of wood, just like the old ways. Our meal was great, excellent fish & chips; service was very good; friendly staff from the front door on down; good value.

We went for dinner before a tour we were taking and loved it so much, we went back for dessert and drinks after the tour. The steak pie was amazing and the drinks were great. The atmosphere was lively and has a classic pub feeling....The history of the building is also very interesting and I recommend asking about it while you’re there!More

We were three couples on an overnight stay in town, and stopped off at this quaint little restaurant for drinks. Enjoyed the drinks, but could not believe the prices! A small glass of prosecco was $17, and an expresso martini was over $14. Great atmosphere,...but very pricey. Did not eat, so not sure of food prices, but I suppose that this will be the new norm in dining or drinks in the future as businesses will be upping their prices to make up for lost income as a result of COVID.More

Very popular place for decent choice of suds and lots of Irish menu options. Steak pie was a good choice with nice puff pastry on top.
