I have been in this restaurant several times over the last few year. A great place for fish & chips, and other dishes as well. I have yet to stay there, but someday....

My Mom, sisters and I go every year. This is one terrific pub with excellent food! This year I had the Curry Chicken over Rice. Had to take some home for lunch the next day. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

If you are looking for true British food with out going to England, well it's can be closer than you think. Cozy and friendly staff with delicious food. We went back 2 nights in a row, especially after surprising my husband for his birthday with a free dessert. A must if you are in the area.

Hello Denise Z; Thank you for taking the time to submit your review. To come back two nights in a row, says a lot about our food and service. I'm glad to hear that your husband enjoyed his birthday celebrations here and I hope he will reciprocate the same for your birthday! We hope to see you again one day.... More

The reknown Olde Angel Inn is famous for it's ghost soldier. No ghost sightings on the night we went :-) The interior/decor is interesting and there was a lot to look at. The bar food wasn't spectacular but the drink options made up for it. The local band kept the crowd dancing and we were sad to see them stop.

Ordered a hot beef and fries dinner. It was ok but in the mix of the fries and a very long hair. Very upsetting. Would not go back.

Hello antoninah1900; Thank you for submitting your review as we take negative comments quite seriously here at The Angel. I am perplexed by the comment regarding the hair as our kitchen staff must wear hair nets and hats when working in the kitchen. If there was a hair due to our negligence, I do apologize as sometimes accidents do happen... More

This place is cool. With the story of the ghost and the atmosphere of this old building make it a cool place to have a bite or a pint with old and new friends. You won't find it on the Main Street. It's just set back on the west side about half way down the main area of shops. Parking... More

Hello BigGeorge62; Thank you for taking the time to submit your review. That's the one thing about dining at The Olde Angel Inn, you come in as a stranger and you leave as a friend. I'm glad you enjoy our dishes that we serve, as we like to say, we do "Comfort Food" extremely well! It's unfortunate that the parking... More

This is a great little bar with cool atmosphere and history, even a ghost that makes going to the bathroom a bit creepy. They have great brews on draft and do have entertainment on the weekends. The seating can be limited especially if they make room for a dance floor, and people will dance, so it is great for people... More

Building over 200 years old with lots of atmosphere. Enjoyed the local beers and this time the beef pie, usually we get the fish and chips, all is good.

Not the gourmand level of the myriad restaurants around but always open, comforting and a lot of food. If you don't mind a lot of butter. Besides soggy fries, the fish serving wrapped in pastry was huge. Beer comes in two sizes so get small so you can try more. I didn't know and wasn't offered 1/2 pint. Great beer... More
