The first time I visited Niagara on the Lake I asked where the locals dined.....this is what most suggested. On a nice day there is no place finer to dine under a tree.....so go when the weather permits. they have indoor seating but the deck/patio is worth it. The food is Bistro style and well done.....prices are fair and if... More

We visited as part of a day trip out. Niagara on the falls is a wonderful, picturesque and quaint place to visit, and we wanted something to eat. There was not a lot of choice. The sandwiches were alright, but nothing special. The coffee was alright.

We've been to the Epicurean several times when visiting NOTL. The decor is nice but nothing special. Food is good and fresh, their mussels in tomato and wine sauce were delicious and done to perfection! The rest is mostly sandwiches which are a bit pricey but that is expected in a tourist area. Staff is always friendly and helpful and... More

We were there on a Sunday in late morning. No other customers. The menu outside looked promising but I wish we had kept walking and found another restaurant. Think Subway. There is a counter that you walk along and tell them what you want and they make the sandwich with meats etc, just like Subway. We both got sandwiches, very... More

The food here is okay, nothing spectacular. Two soups a sandwich and a quiche $40. A pint of beer and a glass of wine an other $20.

If you like mediocre food served cafeteria style obviously with a view toward masses of tourists, this is for you. Otherwise, there are far better options at various local venues such as hotels and wineries. Visited recently on an off-day, Monday. Shaw Theater is not open on Mondays and fall meant much fewer tourists, so they were not busy. I... More

We came to the Epicurean by hazard and did not regret the choice. We enjoyed the Red Snapper and Trout, which were well prepared, presented and plentiful! No room for dessert. Not an inexpensive meal, but well worth the opportunity we took to experience some of their menu.

We enjoyed a reasonable lunch with good options and were looking forward to dinner, again pre-theatre with lots of time. There was a fine outdoor table, and very helpful wait staff. Unfortunately, one of the main dishes was dry and inedible. Our waiter was sympathetic, helpful & spoke to the kitchen who said, "that's the way it is!". The attitude... More

I liked that you could grab something fairly quickly and go. We had soup and sandwich. The food was good, albeit rather ordinary. Good if you just want a quick bite.
