Indian is my favourite cuisine and I've been to many amazing restaurants on Gerrard St. in Toronto, and have also had many authentic homemade dishes from friends. Indra's is def the best authentically tasting Indian food you'll find in North Bay but unfortunately that's where...the positive reviews stop. Lacking detail with not having the right tamarind/sauces, small portion sizes (specifically their apps) and the menu is WAY over priced, and they don't follow their own hours of operation. Also seeing the way they respond to reviews on google makes me want to boycott this place for good - very poor representation of your service! $22 for chicken curry and $20 for byrani ...if it's going to cost me over $50 to have curry with rice and naan then its not happening more than once or twice a year. ...Which is too bad because this would be my go to place in town if prices were more reasonable.More

I was pretty disappointed with the food. We’ve had Indian food from all over Canada and this just fell short. It lacked in flavour and didn’t have that authenticity that usually comes with Indian cuisine. The pakoras were incredibly doughy and didn’t come with a...tamarind sauce which was disappointing. It wasn’t the worst I’ve had but it was far from the best. It was also the most expensive Indian food we have ever paid for which is why I’m rating it a 2/5 instead of a 3/5.More

You get what you pay for. The food is fantastic. We've been to India a number of times and we live in Toronto with Little India with many restaurants. We ordered from here last week, the chicken korma tasted like it came from India. We...also had biriyiani and cauliflower and potato. We had enough for 2 meals so it was not pricey. When this type of preparing food will take time, especially the chicken korma that was so tender. This chef deserves a thumbs up. Didn't expect to find this in North Bay. You won't be disappointed (we asked for hot and spicy and it was delish!)More

Indras's has excellent dishes. However, they are all overpriced. Two samosas for 9.95? Please! We were the first to order from them when they opened and thought they were wonderful. We now think the prices are over the top! Unfortunate. It was wonderful while it...lasted. That's it for us ... Clients for over 8 years.More

Indian cuisine is a gift from the gods. This restaurant makes an unmitigated travesty of it. What is this you call biryani?? Cheap, broken-grain rice stewed in something you might call soup mix. Absolutely horrible! I guess in North Bay where people don't know the...difference, you can get away with it and make good money. It is clear that Indra Restaurant is only in it for the money they can extract from the gullible. Some with integrity take pride in what they do. The owners of this restaurant cannot be counted in that group.More

I've sampled great indian food across Canada and have to say I'm surprised to find a restaurant that ranks right up there with the best of them in North Bay. A little pricey but you wont be disappointed.

I have had plenty of Indian food throughout the province and I still think the food at Indra's is my favourite. Their naan bread is definitely the best naan bread you can get! Always a favourite weekend dinner for my family!

We tried to order some simple dishes only to be informed that they had no samosas and our order would not be ready for another 2.5 hours. They opened at 4 and could not have food ready until 7:30. For that amount of time it...is quicker for me to make it. Needless to say we did not order. I advise you to try else where as well.More

The chana masala was the best I've EVER had - rich flavour and added veggies (green peppers, onions and potatoes).

The food is excellent. We had delivery to our hotel room. Everything was so good but the Aloo Gobi was the absolute best I tasted. The butter chicken was plentiful and portion sizes were good. The staff was friendly and service was good. We will...certainly order again the next time we’re in North Bay.More

I love that when I ask for "spicy" they believe me at Indra's! But almost everything is available mild or medium too. The mango chutney is addictive, the vegetables fresh and firm, the sauces rich. A great take out option in North Bay.

We hoped to eat here on a recent trip to North Bay based on Tripadvisor ratings. The place looks neglected from the outside (kinda dingy and dirty) and inside doesn’t look much better. There was no where to sit for dining in and we were...told that they really only provide take out. So if you’re staying in a hotel in North Bay, and want to try this restaurant, pack your cutlery.More
