Whole food plant based HEAVEN!!!

Whole food plant based HEAVEN!!! Such a fantastic feeling being able to walk in knowing you are going to get healthy and delicious food. Customer service is fantastic, everyone is happy to see you. Charming sit down area with a fireplace or you can take it out with you. They carry baked goods as well, and lots of items they have frozen so you can take it home for another day. “Cheeze” and dips etc. So many choices. Personal favourite is the Mac n Cheeze with the BBQ Unpork or the Spinach and Sundried tomato with Cheeze turnovers!!! Go hungry my friends go hungry!!

Very Delicious vegan eating

This was our first visit to Matildas and We picked up the vegan bolognese, the sampler plate and a foot long submarine. So delicious! We will definitely frequent Matildas when in Oshawa. We have tried the Copper Branch in Bowmanville and although good, Matildas is far superior. Great prices and some vegan cooking/baking staples for cooking at home, which makes it feel like You used your time efficiently. Staff was very helpful and informative. Very clean.

Vegan but good

My last visit to a vegan restaurant turned out a disaster when the beautiful food turned unpalatable. That was on the Island of Hawaii, halfway across the world. It took me 11 years to get over it but today, after reading positive reviews on TA, I gathered my courage and gave vegan cuisine a second chance. While the food was not as visually attractive, it actually was quite tasty, in a good way. The sampler plate gave us an opportunity to try five offerings and they were all enjoyable. I’m still not sold to vegan lifestyle but I am a little more open to it now. If you are into vegan food, it’s a must visit. If not, give it a try at least. You won’t regret it. And it’s in our backyard! Plus, the service is super friendly and helpful since those vegan people are too weak to fight. Just kidding!

Best Vegan Food in Durham!!

I had the Banh mi sandwich and it was sooooo good!! My husband had the chickn ceasar wrap. He loved it so much he bought the ceasar dressing on the spot. I bought the vegan hot chocolate to bring home and it was delicious!! I can't wait to go back and try more food and buy more of their products!

We get take out dinner from here at least twice a month and have been doing so since it opened. Great food served really fast. Power bowls, Sample platter, 100% vegan menu.

The food here is absolutely delicious and always leaves you satisfied. I've never been disappointed with the experiences I've had here. On top of that, all of the staff are extremely kind and helpful.

Vegan or not - Mathilda’s is a MUST visit!!

I discovered Mathilda’s this year due to dietary changes - but oh my gosh I wish I discovered this place before! I now visit this restaurant EVERY time I’m in town. My diet is dairy free and mostly vegan, so going into mathilda’s is an absolute treat because I can eat anything. The first time I went I ordered a sample plate - this gives you a bit of each item in the hot table that day - and it’s great for figuring out what you might like next time. In addition to this, the staff is exceptional! They always make me feel welcome when I come to visit and have no problem answering questions. My favourites: pizza rolls (my non vegan friends LOVE these), spinach and cheeze turnovers, chickpea curry, sticky rice wrap (ask for side of homemade hot sauce), teriyaki chic’n, chic’n shawarma. And if you’re looking for a treat- the shortbread cookies and PB&J brownies are delightful! ALSO - if you follow them on Instagram you’ll get daily updates on hot food items and other happenings in the restaurant/store. And on trip advisor it suggests that the restaurant is currently closed, but according to their Instagram they are OPEN 12-5 MON-SAT

Best Food in Oshawa!!

All the food here is VEGAN! You can enjoy Appetizers,Mains, Desserts, even Groceries to stock your fridge/freezer/pantry. Really a blessing to have such an incredible option that isn’t an hour away! Thank goodness for Matildas!

Vegan's place to go in Oshawa

My wife loves this spot if you are a non carnivore this is the place for you. I am a meat eater and have tried some of the dishes my wife has come home with. I have to agree that some things are very good.

Delicious Plant-based food!

This was my first time visiting Mathilda’s. I was told it was good and I wasn’t disappointed! They have a great selection of hot or cold foods, daily specials and desserts. My meal had so many wonderful flavours and although it didn’t contain any meat, the soy based protein was just like meat. I am going back very soon. Oh, and they have ready made frozen meals you can purchase.

Amazing plant-based food!

I've been eating plant-based for 9 months since taking Mathilda's vegan challenge! Their food is absolutely amazing. All of my friends and family that have tried it are astonished at how flavorful and delicious it is. Everyone will enjoy this restaurant, no matter your dietary preferences. However, note that not all of the food is gluten-free and many items are made with nuts.

Fantastic Plant-Based Diner

I google-searched for a plant-based diner I watched the documentary "The Game Changers" in nearby Pickering. Mathilda's is also a Game Changer. First I had the Vegan Curry and it tasted so delicious, so I ordered as a second course the "Mac & Cheeze. Wow, another tasty dish and to top it of I had the in store made vanilla & chocolate ice-cream. Also fantastic. Mathilda, the owner, and Alice were very friendly and helpful choosing the dishes. It was very insightful to listen to Mathilda how she came across plant-based eating and cooking. I will be back for sure.
