We went here years ago and stopped as it went way down. Went again recently and the food was much better. Waitress was very nice. Portions were good. Prices were in line to others.

This company has decent value for being so far inland. I have ate and caught a decent amount of halibut over the years and it is a tough gig to make it work, when one is so far from the coast. This company simply does a decent job. Do not expect fancy......

We went here tonight to get take out and it costs $83 for 2 fish and chips and 2 chicken fingers. As a restaurant owner myself, I don't know how they justify over $15 for 4 chicken fingers and fries with packets of plum sauce. The fish was cooked perfect and it was a fair sized piece but it came with NO lemon, NO coleslaw and the tartar sauce was small packets as well. The food was great but the lack of extras and the high pricing made it a one time experience for me.

Wasn't like halibut, the batter was poor, fries floating in coleslaw vinegar. I won't go back to this location. This was shocking, as it's always been good. Not this time.

Went there tonight with a coupon for fish and chips.
Made sure expiry date was good and when I got there the cashier said she had never seen the coupon before.
Waited as she said she had to phone her manager at home.
Waited patiently while 2 more people were served behind me.
Was told it's best to come back next week.
Well I will never be back
My first experience here will be my last
Instead went to waltzing wheezle where they treat their customers good

This truck stop type restaurant has the best fish and chips that I have ever eaten. Not expensive. and very quick and friendly service

Read the reviews, asked at the front desk of the hotel. Wanted fish and chips.
Went was not disappointed 😀
Had the cod and chips, mate had halibut and poutine both had the rice pudding. Followed by tea.
If I am back in would go back🏴
almost like I was back home.
Service was top notch.

Paid $54 for 3 pc's of Halibut and 2 chips. The fish was great, but the fries came in a medium box even though they charged me for 2 fries (at $4.50 each). WON'T be back.

The piece of haddock was generous and filled the box with chips under the fish, The food was hot and well cooked. Nice thin batter not one of those places with more batter than fish - Excellent. I took a half order of fries with a small coleslaw to control my carbs - I still couldn't finish the chips. I used chips as they were like the ones in the Scottish shops fresh cut spuds and properly cooked not greasy.

Very good service and excellent value Halibut lunch special! Lemon slices available which is a bonus. Halibut and batter are both excellent with just enough greasiness!

This restaurant serves a wide variety of seafood and was extremely busy on a Friday for dinner. They always serve one piece of haddock with chips and slaw on weekends for only $6.50. The restaurant is clean with no residual fish order. The staff were extremely busy, friendly and helpful. I would return there any time I visit the area in the future.
