Thornton Arms is a hidden Gem,
The staff is absolutely fantastic! Rhonda has brought in a great friendly staff and they are all amazing people! The food and service is what keeps me and my friends and family coming back!
We were looking for a quick meal and a place to sit and relax. We found the Thornton Arms. At the time we found the atmosphere and food comforting. Coming from another celebration, we didn't have a big meal but snacks. My Onion soup was...the best ever and there were no complaints from our table other than the hockey game on tv was a bit loud...but that's nothing!! I would stop again if I was in the neighbourhood.More
Everything from bangers and mashed to fish and chips, stuffed Yorkshire to burgers and wings to their homemade soups are all excellent.
Lana and the rest of the staff are friendly and professional. .love the Irish ambience.
Constructively speaking it could use better lighting but...I still love this place.
Foods great and the beer is cold.
I visited this pub for the first time with games group. I instantly loved the atmosphere & ambience in here which felt really homely. We did have to wait a while though for our server to attend to us which didn't really get any better...throughout the course of the evening. We waited for menus, drinks, food & felt like we were being ignored on occasion.
When we did get the food however it was very tasty & enjoyable. I would happily visit this establishment again but hopefully next time our server is more proactive with a large group.More
Great friendly staff who always remember your name - glad to have a Pub in the neighbourhood - drinks are a good price and the food is homemade- just underwent a nice paint job - no complaints - they treat their customers right!
This is a decent neighbourhood pub. They have reasonable food and the staff are friendly and efficient. Drinks and food are fairly standard pub fare. The decor is dated and bathrooms are rough but otherwise is a pretty good place to go.
This pub is just down the street from our house so if we are looking to go out without driving, we walk down. I find the service really good but the food is not that good. We usually just end up grabbing a drink and...perhaps an appetizer. Whenever we go in, there are a lot of group parties. Unlike other comments I've read, I don't find the place very loud at all and it probably could use a facelift. As much as I like the service, we don't end up going very often as the food just doesn't cut it. I gave it an average rating because of the service.More
