If you're from a European background, you must love *chocolate and pastry...with a good cup of java :))). THIS IS THE PLACE FOR IT! Don't go too Starbucks or Great Canadian Bagel first. GO HERE. This little hidden beauty in my opinion has NO competition...for fine chocolate and unique sweets. The coffee and items are always fresh and hot when they should be, and cool creamy satisfaction when they should be. A perfect place to satisfy the CHOCOHOLIC in you...and your friends will love you for taking them here.More

We've been to a LOT of cafes in Durham Region, and there's nothing as good as Isabella's. There's a good amount of seating so you can relax and enjoy a perfectly prepared beverage of your choice, and there's a lot to choose from. Baked goods...are fresh and tasty - I love the cookies and scones. They even have ice cream, but it's a bit too much for one person, so find someone to share.More

A small but warm, quaint cafe with amazing coffee, food and service! Love the couch and harvest table...inviting! In addition, they offer a few novelty gifts like Cath Kidston mugs, tins of tea and pretty note paper! Central location around the corner from the new...Holiday Inn Express Hotel and La Quinta Inn and Suites. You may pass it by as it is a bit tricky to see the entrance but look for the sandwich board outside!More

My morning coffee starts here and my afternoon break here helps me thru the rest of the day. The staff is friendly and funny and food is good too!

So this was my first time to this coffee place and there was not a soul around and man did the clerk seem annoyed that I'd walked in. Coffee was great but comparable in price to Starbucks. I'm a huge supporter of local but only...if they actually want customers.More

Isabella's is another little (very little) gem in downtown Oshawa. The coffee is excellent as are the home baked scones and muffins. Isabella's has a fairly limited but delicious and healthy lunch menu and offers their own gourmet chocolate.

I have gone to the cafe a number of times, I have been with my wife and I have also gone there on my morning coffee break. It is small inside, but its quaint and clean, music playing is usually good background music. The food...is pretty good, I had a chocolate banana muffin and it tasted homemade, and then I went in 3 days in a row for a London Fog because they make it so good there. Quality products in my opinion. Will go back again.More

Last few visits for me haven't been so great. Staff aren't very friendly, especially the owner, she's very rude. Service is slow. Food has been meh. Soup and beverages come scalding hot, have had to wait so long to drink or eat my food. Debit...machine requires you enter a tip, which is ridiculous seeing as how it cost me $8 for a small bowl of soup and cider. Also, found a long, gross hair in my soup which was the last straw. Won't be returning.More

Honestly didn't know what to expect from Isabella's waffles, but they were delicious! Perfectly cooked with lovely fresh fruit, and beautifully presented. Their drinks are also very good, high quality for a decent price, not to mention the lovely chocolates!

Great little place but avoid the place on Saturdays. 1 person on staff who is the chief cook and bottle washer. Sandwiches and coffee excellent but the lone staff member had to cook and take care of the cash as well. Service extremely slow of...course. 2 groups of about 6 people each had to be very patient for their orders. To compensate for the wait, we were given a delicious sample of their homemade chocolate treats. Oh by the way, don't try calling this restaurant - they don't answer EVER. Seems if you want a "live" person you have to email them via their website. Not exactly "best business practice". Strange.More

I stop in here for latte before class every now and then. It's always busy, but the service is quick and the baristas are friendly. They make a great brownie too! I also love that they sell cliff bars. Perfect for when I have a...long day and don't want to spend too much money on grabbing lunch downtown.More

Isabella's is the best cafe in Oshawa, by far. I have gone there at least once a week when I am in town for years and never once was disappointed. There are many coffees available at this cafe, but I like "Urban Experience". The cappuccinos...and lattes at this cafe are also excellent. It is a great place to go with friends. See you there!More
