About
Opened since 2007 August serving Chinese, Thai, Japanese and Vietnamese dishes; we also offer some GLUTEN-FREE and LOW CARB choices. As of 2020 July 28, with careful consideration, we will not be going forward with the re-opening for dining-in. As a small business, we have been faced with many challenges and have decided it's best to continue to only provide take-out and delivery at this moment. Due to COVID-19, we have been operating with a shortage of staff. Some of our staff are still not comfortable to return to work. It would be difficult for our current staff to manage additional responsibilities at this time. We do not have the resources to hire and train new staff, as the current staff is occupied preparing and fulfilling all the orders each day. We thank you for all your support, as we wouldn't be here if it weren't for your continuous support for ordering take-out and delivery during this challenging time. Please continue to support us!

We have been going and/or ordering from Azian since it opened. We appreciate their commitment to quality, safety and customer service. I could not believe how incredibly busy they were when I picked up our call-in order for 4 p.m.! Hats off to handling an extremely busy day with great customer care and excellent food to boot!! An annual tradition from an excellent restaurant!

My wife and I were staying overnight in Oshawa - and looking for something new to try. I Googled "Dim Sum" and Azian was the first restaurant to come up. Although they were supposed to be closing at 8:00 on a Thursday night and it was already after 7:00, we decided to give it a shot. We were seated immediately and there were several other tables still occupied, so we figured all would be well. It was more than just well - it was absolutely fantastic! We ordered Hot & Sour Soup, Spicy Tuna and Spicy Salmon rolls, the Deluxe Dim Sum Combo (it's at the end of the menu under "Chef's Exclusives") and the Vietnamese Spicy Fried Rice with Chicken. The soup came out immediately and was amazing. A huge bowl for $4.99 and there was plenty for each of us to spoon into our bowls. The Spring Rolls from the Dim Sum Combo - which contains two pieces of EIGHT different dim sum items (!!) - arrived next and were crispy and delicious. Next were the sushi rolls, all of the remaining seven Dim Sum items tastefully arranged in a giant steamer, and the rice. Let me just say that every single item in the Dim Sum Combo was absolutely perfect - I really couldn't single out one because they were all fresh, tasty, and amazing. WOW! The sushi rolls were both great - four pieces of each, which was perfect for the two of us. We were getting pretty full by then, so we just had a few bites of the rice. Although it was very tasty and light, we didn't feel it had much heat to it, so we mentioned that to the server. He suggested we ask for it extra spicy on our next visit, which we will. We took most of the rice back to our hotel room that night and put it in the fridge. When we returned home the next day, we popped it in the microwave for a couple of minutes and it tasted like it had just come out of the wok. Although it could have been spicier, it was certainly light and delicious. We especially liked that the chicken was cut up into small pieces, which was a nice change from the big chunks you often get in fried rice. We probably could have done without the frozen peas and carrots but, otherwise, it was a nice plate of rice. Overall, Azian is just an incredible restaurant. We barely scratched the surface on the various Asian dishes they offer (Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, etc.), so we can't wait to return and try some new items. However, we'll definitely get the Dim Sum Combo again, because it is simply outstanding. One final note - the service at this restaurant is excellent. We must have had three or four different staff members come to our table to see how we were enjoying the food - not being obtrusive, just genuinely interested in getting our thoughts. Super friendly people cooking amazing food. You can't go wrong with this place.

We ordered take out and the service was very quick in delivery. The dumplings were excellent. I just loved them. We also enjoyed the other dishes that we had ordered. We would definitely order from them again.

I want this place to be good but sadly it wasn’t.
The beef pad Thai was dry and lack any flavour
My chicken Thai fried rice tasted like fish. Like seriously it was not edible.
The beef skewers were chewy and lack taste
I won’t be back. Sorry to say

The noodles and seafood only had 4 shrimp and 3 slices of scallops. Their menu picture had a much better dish than I received.
I had the mango ice cream and Cooked bananas.
The mango ice cream was fine. The bananas were in a pastry that was either Drexel fried or reheated. The banana was lukewarm and soggy on the outside and cold and icy on the inside. If I wanted something like that I could have got frozen bananas at a grocery store.
A waste of a good sixty dollars.

Do yourself a favour and try somewhere else, anywhere else. This was a very disappointing experience, I can honestly say I havent had a worse meal since the start of the pandemic. This place was a real let down.

I’m super happy Azian is in my neighbourhood. My go-to take out!! Such good food. Honestly best Asian in Durham. Good portions, fresh and well priced.
Keep up the good work... :)

Quaint place with good decor. Food was great and you get a lot of food for a good price. The cashew chicken was excellent and their dumplings were perfect! Highly recommend for date nights or family meals!

You can enjoy small dishes of dim sum and sushi or big noodle bowls.
Service is fast and attentive, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese and Thai... All great!
Green tea or beer or wine and perfect mixes including superb crispy wings, and chicken in bird's nest noodles.
We have been there 12 times in 24 months and will be back.

The problem with 'fusion' restaurants is that they don't do anything well. This place is no exception. I ordered beef teriyaki, it was awful. No teriyaki flavour at all, just some awful sweet sauce poured over the top of beef strips that had not been marinated. Singapore noodle was very bland. Sesame chicken was tasteless. Expensive. Don't waste your money. Go further west.

Have gone here a few times. Food is good. Don't go here to have a conversation with anybody. The tables are so close together.

I needed to order take out food for a bookclub meeting. Herman, the manager was able to offer a great selection. I provided our budget and Herman made great choices for us. Everything was ready on time. We were all delighted with the freshness, flavour and variety of delicious food we enjoyed. Would certainly do it again. Thank you:)

I've ordered from them many times and we've always enjoyed it but today I ordered chicken and shrimp pad Thai and even asked for extra lemon/lime with peanuts. Ive always enjoy the Flav of pad Thai and love the curry a lot. I picked up the food and the moment I got home I was happy that it was super hot. When I tried it....it was sooooo BLAND and does not even taste good. So I added more lime for extra Flav. And still I just couldn't eat it. I don't like complaining but I was too busy to also call. I waited for my husband to come home so I can see if maybe it's me not the food. When my husband tried it...and he is not a picky eat at all. He spit it out. He said it was tasteless. It's basically just noodles...with shrimp and chicken and peanuts that I added. I called and spoke with the same lady I ordered from. She was very defensive instead of listening to my feedback. I tried to explain to her. But she said maybe I don't like how they make it. I explained to her that it is the worst pad Thai I've ever tasted. She was rude and I'll never go to this place again. If you want over priced bland pad Thai then go try it. Because of how she was....I will make sure EVERYONE I KNOW stop ordering from them. I even offered to bring it for her to try.
I don't see the ingredients were added properly. She could have just apologize and I'd be happy that she was receptive to the feedback. But because she's rude I had to write a review.

Hi Ailn, I am the owner of aZian Cuisine and just came back to work after a long medical leave since 2016 July. Thank you for taking the time to write this review and I could not have agreed with you more on how it should have been handled - it should have been a sincere apology and put a credit on file. The problem was, and still is, because our stir-fry chef has 2 consecutive days off and at times his counterpart might not be able to produce the dishes with the same standard. Some Asian restaurants chose to close one day a week so all the staff will be off on the same day and the inconsistency will be avoided; unfortunately we cannot close for 2 days a week. The staff involved only answered calls 2 days of the week and she was told what her problem was, I hope that my sincere apologies and explanation have not come unnoticed. I will be working onsite Sep-Dec and hope to be able to meet with you in person. May
