While in Ottawa we ate here twice and were satisfied both on occasions. They have a nice selection of freshly baked scones that go great with coffee for breakfast or as a quick luncheon sandwich.

We found the Scone Witch "accidentally" this past summer, because its name made a great rebus for a scavenger hunt we put together for our daughter's birthday. The scones here (both sweet and savoury ones) are delicious! Our daughter has loved every sweet flavour she's...More

Fine taste treats for the A.M. Get there at opening as they are always busy. Worth the wait if you have to. The café is smallish in size but the food is large in flavor.

They bake new scones every day and do not sell old scones at the same price. So you can always have fresh scones. Day-olds are also a bang for the buck, though. I'm now in another country but sometimes I really miss their scones.

Very cozy - more so on a rainy day! The scones & the coffee tasted out of the world given the wet weather.

The scones were definately delicious. The ‘sconewiches’ were tasty but a bit pricey and small. Worth going back for their fresh, warm, and fluffy scones though!

Stopped in here for quick breakfast and could have stayed all day eating the fine scones! Funky little place - looked like a healthy mix of eat-in and take-out. Hearty scones, sweet or savory scones, lighter fare. Was very good. Would definitely come back.

Although the restaurant atmosphere is lacking, its more of an bakery, the scones here are by far the best I have ever eaten. I had a Scone Witch sandwich, and then went and ordered one more scone for the road.

Scones were so light and flakey! The texture was a combination of scones and danish pastry. Would go back there again for their pumpkin scones which had just that hint of cinnamon. The Eggwitch was just right for a brunch meal and was so filling.

Tastes like an English scone with jam and clotted cream (also available to go). Pumpkin scones were delicious!

Yes. I buy scones to go whenever I can. The caveat is to get there early because they can run out of scones by the end of lunch. They even offer to see frozen scones that you can bake at home.
