Since I began living in Ottawa and gone to it's annual Winterlude celebration, I have enjoyed a Beavertail pastry and a simple hot chocolate each time. I look forward to it each year and I treat it like a seasonal treat.
If you are in the ByWard Market this is a must. The tails are the best. If you have never tried one you have to. The choices are great and the dough is very tasty. The best I have ever had.
Love this local treat I and need to have at least one on every visit. I always go for the cinnamon, sugar and lemon juice one and my mouth waters just writing this. Not for anyone counting calories but why should you?

Hot and delicious, dripping with sweetness. I love best the one with lemon and cinnamon Warms your heart on a cold day! couple it with hot chocolate and you have a treat no one can beat.
