I checked reviews beforehand and I looked forward to having a Shawarma combo for dinner after a busy Sunday of working around the house especially after reading so many favourable remarks.
Bottom line is the chicken was very, very dry and it totally took away...from anything else that may have been good with the meal. Basically it ruined the meal.
I am glad other people enjoyed their food from this place but for my first experience here, it will now be my last. Such a disappointment.More
Ordered the mixed platter which was huge and enough for two people. It had all the right flavours and the meat was cooked perfectly. The price was very reasonable. Technically considered "fast food" but it was great, quick and tasty.
Visited my son and daughter in law and we talked about what to order for dinner. One of my son's favourite food places is Shawarma House, so we decided on a shawama dinner. It was a great choice. We ordered some chicken and beef plates....Lots of food(thanks). The meat was very tasty, the potatoes were super and all the other choice veggies were excellent as well. Two plates were enough to feed 4 people. Will come here again when in the Ottawa area. Very friendly staff.More
I've tried them all here in this city, and I like this place the best.
Great service, great food.
Garlic is great, beef and chicken cooked perfect, potatoes seasoned very well. Lots of flavor. Good amount when ordering a platter.

I went to Shawarma House on March Road for the first time on Saturday (24 March 2018). The place is large and very clean, with plenty (four logs) of meat on the skewers. The first guy was a little a little lackadaisical on the placement...of ingredients, but that was quickly rectified after a few suggestions to the second guy. The vegetables were fresh. The chicken was tender, juicy, well-seasoned, and plentiful. The wrap was flawless: no premature dribblings, structural integrity was maintained right through to the final bite. Grilling was perfect as well. The only weakness, and unfortunately it's a big one, was that the garlic was not nearly potent enough. Overall, I'd give it a 7.5. Better garlic could have easily elevated it to a solid 9.
Platters are expensive, but sandwiches prices are reasonable.More
Great food. We ordered their chicken sharmawa plate and mixed plate, Count on enough food for 2 people, otherwise order their pita sandwich...same quality food in a pita. Highly recommend this place for an informal economy meal. Better than most high end dinners that I...had before!More
