The best Indian food I’ve tasted in Ontario. Very fresh and tasty. Felt very welcomed. Looking forward to my next visit.

Fabulous, fresh tasting food. We discovered by accident. We loved it and will be back. A definite must when visiting Ottawa
The food is wonderful, especially the biryani and tandoori chicken. I have never been disappointed in the years we have been coming here. If you order 'mild' they will not make the food too spicy. Love it, can't recommend it highly enough!
We wanted Indian food and this place was open and had fair ratings. We ordered an appetizer plate for two which was delicious though quite copious. Loved the onion bhajis, the pakoras but the samosas were a bit too filling. Mia obviously loves using corn...in her cooking...The tandoor chicken was a disappointment as was the naan which was oily and lacked the special spice normally used. The raita was good and the sheek kebabs were overly dry.More
This is the second time I've placed an online order - both times the delivery was nearly an hour late than the projected delivery time. The first time there was a mix up on their end. I asked for a discount that should have been...offered in the first place! Today I placed an online order which when I called around the time I was advised it would be delivered I was told they couldn't find it. When I called back I was told the driver was on his way - nearly an hour late again. They need to get their delivery act together because I'm hungry and not happy with this nonsense!!More
Had three vegetarian dishes by takeout tonight: vegetable korma, shahi paneer and baingan bharta. All were without sufficient spice or flavour. I admit we ordered mild and not spicy, and korma and shahi are sweeter dishes, but the food was bland. I can make better...Indian food than this. I have lived in countries in Asia with significant Indian populations, so I know my Indian food. Also, when I entered, there were two young women at the cash. One was very friendly, but the other was miserable and unfriendly, like I was bothering her by coming to get my order. Anyone raving about this place as the best in Ottawa is likely a White Canadian who doesn’t know better and usually gets Indian food from a jar in the supermarket. Not authentic. I will not likely go back.More
We stopped in on a Saturday around noon & had the pace to ourselves as it just opened. We both had a lunch special, chicken tikka wraps using fresh naan plus mulligatawny soup. We ordered some garlic naan as an extra. All was well prepared,...fresh and tasty. The soup came first, then the naan and chicken tikka wraps with a side of tasty (spicy, sweetish) side sauce. The next time, I'd ask for the soup and naan to come together or ask for all to come out at the same time. We both enjoyed our meals very much and plan on returning.More
Ordered the dinner for 2 for delivery for the first time and was very pleased with the both the flavor of the dishes and the portions. Included: Appetizer: samosa, pakura, chicken tikka, papadams. Main: butter chicken, lamb bhona, rice, naan, golap jamin, pickle. Will definitely...order again soon.More
Ordered for take out Chicken Bhona which was very well seasoned in a mild curry sauce (you can choose the heat up to high). The garlic Naan bread was also very good. Looking forward to trying their Dal and Mulligatawny soups next time.
My partner and I ordered the Family Dinner for 2 selection ”B”. Our food was fresh, hot and delicious. The naan bread was amazing. We were so pleased with our meals. We ended up getting three meals out of it. Butter chicken was creamy and...the lamb was perfect and spicy. Their service is always with a smile. Super impressed. We will certainly be ordering from them again.More
This is now our go to place for great Indian food. We have eaten at this restaurant a couple of times in the past and now pick up take out on a regular basis and enjoy at our nearby condo. No matter what you order...you won’t be disappointed. All dishes are of a high quality and very tasty. Highly recommend the dinner for 3 if you are looking for a great take out meal for either 2 or 3 people. Comes with several appetizers, mains, breads and desert. Lots and lots of food for my wife and I with plenty of left overs for the next day. Very reasonable price for what you get. A must visit if your love Indian food.More
Our group of three each ordered a different type of tandoori - which once it arrived, we realised was too much food. However, my complaint is that two dishes arrived together, while the last one arrived about 10 minutes after the other two. The chicken...and lamb tandoori were delicious, however, the beef tandoori was burnt and almost inedible. What made our experience less than stellar, was the laziness of our waitress – not once did she come over to ask how we were doing, not once did she refill our water glasses, not once did she come over to clear empty plates (which we just placed on an empty table beside us). I should note that the restaurant was not busy. However, she had time to sit behind the cash and fiddle with her cell phone. I also observed her more than once leaving the kitchen with food in her hand that she proceeded to eat. Additionally, we ordered naan with our meal, which never arrived and we had to ask that it be taken off of our bill, Overall, a very disappointing experience and I strongly encourage this restaurant to revisit the training of their staff. Will not be returning.More
We have visited this restaurant 3 times this season and the reason is their Tandoori Specialties. Be warned, their medium spiced meals are actually too hot! They could use some work on their decor and service, and the bathroom area isn't really very nice.
Ordered their eggplant Bharta, with two naan’s, rice pudding and veggie platter for two and I must say I’m super disappointed. the food was dripping in oil, and the Bharta was inediable. Honestly never been so disappointed in Indian food before. The only thing that...could be consumed without gagging was the naan and rice pudding both things extremely hard to mess up. Wasted $45 on this meal, definitely will never be returning and I highly recommend others don’t either. I’m Indian and expected decent food but I am honestly shocked and disgusted by this food.More
Went to Mia's for the first time. Had a wonderful lunch which included Dahl. It was probably the best I'd ever eaten. Will be back soon.
