What I like about Thai food is that it tends to taste so fresh and vibrant. Unfortunately, this was not the case here. The food came out very quickly which is often a bad sign. I had hot and sour soup which appeared to be predominantly chicken stock. It was ok but nothing special in the slightest. The green curry... More

I used to eat here frequently a few years ago and after moving back to Ottawa a few months ago, I was looking forward to coming back to Lemon Grass. I'm not sure if the owners or the cook changed, however it was a terrible meal and I couldn't have been more disappointed. I was ravenous and didn't finish my... More

Pleasant anbiance, the service was good and the food was OK - not the best but by no means the worst either.

I had the Mango Salad that was as pleasing to the eye as it was tasty. I'd love to recreate this one at home. Several dishes had vegetarian options, for which I was thankful. Decor could use some updating for sure, but for us, the decor didn't really change our experience - food was amazing ! Perhaps I mention this... More

Not usually on Elgin but looked for a Thai place and found this cute little restaurant. Lots of menu options and singha beer. The green curry was really good as was the shrimp rice paper wrap with peanut sauce. We would recommend.

Lemon Grass on Elgin Street is an intimate, Thai style restaurant. Tables, complete with white table cloths and high back dining style chairs, are segregated between delicate full length chain walls providing you with a sense of privacy. Nice menu with a good selection of entrees and appetizers at mid-range prices. Full bar. Street parking. No patio.

You can order off the buffet menu on the weekend for one price - all you want including curries and pad thai, salads and soups plus skewers, then ice cream for dessert.

My wife and I found this place while walking along Elgin Street trying to find a place to eat. We stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. My usual breaking point on a Thai restaurant is to see how good their pad thai is. If it's good, then it's a thumbs up for me. But this... More

Enjoyed our meals here. Service was very good with attentive waitress. Limited beer and wine menu. The spice indicator on the menu was a good indicator of what you are served.

The host and waitress were very friendly, spoke English well and recommendations were perfect. Unfortunately we might have thought our palette could handler one red pepper icon. I guess white people should stick to normal spicy. It's not Thai food from their country but it's very, very close.
