We have been to Parliament Pub many many times...but under the new ownership its even better! We love the atmosphere of the pub and the surrounding decor ! The patio in the summer is wonderful-the view of Parliament Hill is the best in town. The new owner is enthusiastic and knows her clients needs hence the change in menu which... More

We ate here whilst waiting for our ticket entry into the Parliament buildings. Food is simple and quick with polite service, and the outside patio (at the front) is shady and has great views of the historic buildings. Nothing special but all perfectly OK.

We have been to the Parliament Pub several times. The outdoor patio is outstanding as it is set back a bit and under trees. Lots of shade for those hot summer days. A bit noisy with the buses and trucks. Washrooms are through a labyrinthine set of halls and stairs, so use the ones in the Tourist Centre next door.... More

The ownership changed in March to a young, hip woman who knows her clientele and the business. The food is improving. The service is great. The patio is lovely, shade trees and a view of Parliament Hill (now that the construction is winding down!) Still best for lunch and drinks after work.

The history and setting tempted us in. Unfortunately that was the best it could do. The ad said half price appetizers from 5 - 7 but the choice was bruschetta or ....bruschetta! The menu was fine for lunch but nothing substantial for supper. Many of the items were not available because of no ingredients. As a pub there was nothing... More

The location is good, the decor is very interesting but the food was another big disappointment. We ordered the quiche. I don't know when or where they made it but it was neither fresh nor tasty.

Great lunch spot. The menu isn't huge, but there's a good variety. Personally, I like the sandwiches best. The patio has a great view of parliament and shade from real trees. The indoor seating looks more upscale, but without the higher prices. Atmosphere is very nice. Service is friendly and fast

The view and location are as great as the food is terrible. Had a pizza, worst of my life.

hob nob with military brass in uniform and other high ranking pub eating folks. The walls are interesting to read too - from the past, prime ministers etc who have signed pictures and are on the walls. - (so a little cheesy or interesting depending on your take opinion) Fine fare for lunch, but I wouldn't venture to both dinner... The place was closed twice when we tried to go, when we did get in quite a bit of the menu(and beer!) was not available. Overall not impressed. There are tons of good pubs in downtown Ottawa. This isnt one of them.
