Entered into to a nice warm hall, through a thick red curtain to be amazed by a diverse pub with multiple bars. Full of nooks and crannies, you can almost get lost in here (Or stay undetected for a few hours!) I met friends for drinks and was pleasantly surprised when a hostess was taking orders from the tables. (Back... More

I've been going to Lieutenants pump since it opened over 20 years ago. Probably longer. I've always been impressed with the consistently good service . Good atmosphere although a little dark. I'm most impressed by the weekly Sunday roast beef dinner served to your liking and complete with the trimmings. Gets crowded . Some great seating in the back. Staff... More

This is what I consider to be my neighbourhood pub but it is also a perfect spot for visitors and Ottawa region residents to enjoy. Great drink selection and the food is always reliable. We enjoyed the seasonal turkey dinner last night. All 4 diners were thrilled with the meals. Service was perfect. Do not miss "the pump" for food... More

The food was excellent, as well as the atmosphere. I don't normally order dessert, but you've got to try their desserts...creative and amazing!

Started a night of drinking & carousing here a few weeks ago. It was the exact experience I expected based on past trips. The beer selection is good and reasonably priced, and the size of the food orders is surprisingly large. On the down side, I'm finding the decoration/atmosphere a bit dark & dated, and the low ceiling doesn't help.... More

This is a traditional pub on Elgin Street and has a nice patio. It has been a fixture in Ottawa for a long time. Good place for a pint. Have never eaten there.

Brunch on Sunday is always good. The food is always fresh and served hot. If you go there for Brunch on Sunday Morning be prepared to wait always a line up.

Larger than it looks from the outside. Lots of seating inside and different rooms. Becomes very crowded on the weekend if its rainy as the patio will be closed. People of all ages will be there. Decent staff and drinks. Would return.

We stayed in the area and noticed that this place had a huge lineup on friday night for the bar scene. The next morning, we were surprised to find the place packed again for brunch! The brunch is very decent, and for the price we paid, I was very happy with what I got. The service is very friendly. I... More

Good layout, decent staff and drinks were cheap. Nothing extraordinary but overall a fine spot for a quick drink.
