Wow, what a pleasant surprise. Staff were very friendly, the portions were HUGE, the food was fresh and tasty, the Chinese vegetables were delicious. We needed a special place for our anniversary dinner, and Royal Treasure provided a lovely experience. No.. the decor is not upscale, but the food was delicious. Watch out though, their bowls of soup are huge! Thank goodness our server led us through the menu...and we only had enough for two extra meals at the end. The Cantonese noodles were awesome, and I really liked the chicken with ginger and onions.More
The service was perfectly fine but nothing special, the atmosphere is again fine noting more but sadly they used to have great food and this time it was bland and rather boring.
I had dinner here this evening. It s a very small restaurant and I was seated right away. I ordered a spring roll, lemon chicken, steamed rice, and Chinese broccoli. It was all very delicious and it was served very hot. I couldn’t eat it...all and I brought leftovers home. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even though it was very busy I did not have to wait long for my food. I would eat here again and recommend it to others looking for a good Chinese restaurant.More
Pleasant service and good food. On recommendation tried General Tao's Chicken (though a house favourite, nothing special); beef with snow peas - excellent; salt and pepper shrimp - great, but a little too greasy on the breading; Cantonese fried noodles - very good. Prices OK...- noodles at $12 and main dishes on average $14. Portion sizes - good. I already know which menu items I will try next time.More
Despite the fact that we were late for our reservation, the staff seated us very quickly! The food was superb - just as we ordered. Our server made us feel special and my out of town guests were very impressed. It was a very busy...place but we were so well served and the food...well totally wonderful...fresh, perfectly cooked and plentiful - what more can one want? I loved that the place was filled with folks from Ottawa´s diverse community. This food appeals to so many! If you have not been - go! If you have been - go again!More

I have been a loyal fan for over 25 years now. It is a family-run restaurant that offers a wide variety of delicious and authentic Chinese dishes. The portions are generous and come with free Chinese tea and white rice. It is not a large...restaurant and reservations might be a good idea. It is licensed and street parking is available nearby. It is an informal setting so need to dress up. I recommend it highly.More
Food is good, very authentic Cantonese Chinese with some Sechuan dishes as well. Service can be brusk but it's worth it. Love the sizzling seafood platter; General Taos chicken is good. The food tends to be saucey, typical of Cantonese style.
This is a very small restaurant and we did takeout as my husband is in a hospital nearby. Another patient's family recommended this restaurant and we were not disappointed. The food was awesome, the best Hot and Sour soup I have ever eaten and I've...tried a few. We had the Beef with ginger and onions and Shrimp fried rice. We are looking forward to trying more dishes from this restaurant. The portions are very generous. This place is not for a fancy night out but the food is wonderful.More
Our family has been eating lunch and supper at the Royal Treasure since 1995 and every time it is excellent. The chef is the owner who makes everything from scratch including the sauces. We always order General Tao's Chicken and the Salt Pepper Shrimp with...Shell. Too many other favourites to list.More
Crispy duck was nice But all sauce and we had 3 items tasted bland, like baby food my wife commented The very nice wormed how helped us to pick things from the very large menu ask if we Like spice ? Yes we do love...authentic spice She suggested the dry rub shrimp We had send them back , what my wife only had done 2x in the 20 years I know her Deep fried with lots of butter tastes Nothing and nothing more .
