why is this place always packed? food: English pub style. I had a Reuben sandwich with very little meat, no thousand-island dressing, and very little sourkraut. There was another dressing on the side, which was some kind of spicy dip (maybe for the fries). atmosphere: crowded with elderly persons and high tech workers service: OK. price: OK for lunch overall:... Great dinner celebration at the Cheshire Cat pub. Six family members ordered 6 different dishes & everyone was pleased with their selection. We started off with elk sausage rolls followed by a lamb curry, lamb shanks, fish & chips, chicken yellow curry, haddock yellow curry & a cottage pie. Two shared a s'more cake. Four of us enjoyed a selection... More

What a great meal! The piece of battered fish was a meal in itself. Then adding the home cut french fries and delicious coleslaw ... made it perfection. I am now planning a group outing and we are going to the Cheshire Cat! I would highly recommend it for the meal but also the service. We were there for hours... More

Was a bit skeptical of an English pub in the countryside in Canada but when I walked in, my mind was changed. We met several friends here for a birthday get-together. The atmosphere was great, lots of happy faces and the food... THE best Yorkshire pudding and beef I have had outside of Yorkshire!! It was to die for and... More

We were a party of 8 for lunch on a Saturday. The pub was fairly busy but the greeting was warm and "no worries". They told us it would be a short wait (large party). We sat in the bar area and ordered a round of beers. Ten minutes later our table was ready. The food was excellent (generous portions... More

I had lunch at the Cheshire Cat Pub in Carp today; the best fish and chips I have ever had. The server was extremely pleasant and accommodating as is the pub itself. I highly recommend it if you are a person who enjoys really delicious pub food.

We stopped into the Cat after pour trip to the Diefenbunker. Everybody really enjoyed their food. My wife had the very tasty club sandwich, it was a special one not your average club. IT had a great spread on it. I ordered the Fish and chips, 2 piece and it was massive! The rest of our party had the Yorkshire... More

This place is a real gem. Destroyed by fire a few years ago, the place was rebuilt; brick by brick. Literally. Went to the "new" place recently, sat on the patio, had a few local brews and a great lunch with a friend. It's always busy here, which is a good sign. Highly recommended if you can get in!

Had lunch with a friend there. Place was packed, luckily still a few tables available. The beer menu features all local beers. Thought that was pretty cool. Had a burger there (something special with it etc ). And it tasted great. Would definitely go back again.
