Upon being shown our table, we were introduced to a rather...non-descriptive menu. With no images nor description we didn't know what to expect with some of the items we ordered. Normally we'd ask the waiters, but service was slow enough. In addition to the service...being slow, it was somewhat lacking. Good waiters pay attention to everything going on and do frequent rounds to ensure satisfaction. On the other hand, the food-especially the sushi was quite pleasant. Come dessert, we got two items. Dessert came, but one of them weren't what we ordered, so we bring it up to one of the waiters. Nearly 30 minutes later, the ice cream and banana spring rolls we were waiting finally arrived. Just had the most out of this world experience at Soul Stone. Brianna is perhaps the best server we have ever had. She wasn't just a good waitress, she was passionate and enthusiastic about the food and it elevated the experience to a whole other...level. Then there was the sushi. This was our first time having the dinner a la cart menu instead of all you can eat, and wow is it ever worth it. The soul stone roll was an incredible mountain of goodness, the torched rolls are definitely my favorite thing about Soul Stone and while I had the Annie's before I had never had the Sunrise and wow was it out of this world. Ninja roll also was a highlight and fulfilled our unagi cravings and then some. Soul Stone remains the #1 sushi place in Ottawa hands down!!! Even better than our favorite sushi place in Toronto!More

Wanted a break from cooking and had purchased gift card at our local Costco supporting business close to us - Soul Stone. Huge mistake that will never be repeated. Each of the three of us chose a variety of items - 6 in total. We...did not get to chose any free item advertised - just threw in what they wanted. Out of all the dishes there was NO redeeming good that good be said. We've travelled all over the world and sampled this food - this is not 'food' from these countries. Not sure if other reviewers have ever had this type of food! We usually buy Sushi from 'Hello Sushiman' - way out of the league of Stone Soul. Unfortunately, since Covid started we've been unable to visit Soul Stone. But this is the MOST precious gem the Ottawa area has to offer. Their plates are fresh, innovative and generous. Went to Soul Stone for the very first time, had the Seafood Thai Basil, which had veggies, prawns, mussels and scallops, served on a hot stone. The Dinner menu had alot of choices, was very happy with my meal
But a limited lunch menu. We are spending a month here for work and are both going to come home 10lbs heavier. Great food.

I went to this restaurant for lunch with 2 friends. The food was fresh and delicious. It was $18.95 each (or $16.95 if you are over 60) for as much as you could eat. You ordered in "rounds" and could share the plates so there...was a chance to try many items. We liked everything we tried and had eaten many plates by the time we finished "round 3". There was only one dessert choice at lunch, banana rolls drizzled with chocolate sauce. They were good too. I will definitely return to Soul Stone.More
