I used to live in the Keys, and this place brings back memories. Very nice and positive atmosphere. My fiancee has to eat gluten free and they were very accommodating. Great food, good prices, excellent staff.

In mid-September, Anchor and Wheel is about the only place to get dinner. We like the decor and the food is pretty good. They now have a limited menu, which is probably a good idea; mostly fish, which is very good, a steak, which I had and was good. Be aware that sometimes they are a little slow to open... More

The food at the Anchor and Wheel is AMAZING! We were staying at the Beach House the weekend of Aug 5-7, 2016 and decided to check out THE restaurant on the island for some perch. We were not disappointed! It was so fresh and delicious. Even the french fries were unbelieveable! My friends had a few different cocktails and loved... More

We were visiting Pelee Island for three days and kept going back to the Anchor and Wheel for supper! The atmosphere here is a lot of fun! We were amazed at the amount of food you get --- you won't go hungry, by any means! On the evenings we were there we had the jerk perch and jerk pickerel --... More

We just loved our dinner at the Anchor and Wheel! The decor was quirky and chilled. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was great - my husband and I both had the fried pickerel and perch dinner. It was simple, fresh and very tasty! And lots and lots of food! It was a little pricey (as one... More

This is a fun place, decked out like a restaurant in the Florida Keys. We sat on a nice outside deck. Surprisingly varied menu which included rack of lamb, steaks and chicken. But the main emphasis is on fish as it should be. I had blackened pickerel (aka walleye stateside) which was done beautifully and included four ample pieces. My... More

It's not fancy but the food is amazing. The portions are HUGE! I had the blackened pickerel and it came with 4 huge pieces of fish, salad, soup, boiled potatoes a big cob of corn and bread. More than enough for two people. FRESHEST FISH I'VE EVER HAD.

Enjoyed this fun filled place. Decor is Florida keys, eclectic and jimmy buffet. The fresh fried fish was truly fresh, tasty, lightly dusted and fried. Fries were just frozen and plain. Nice and friendly service. Worth a visit we will be back!

This is not fine dining, but the the food - especially the fresh Lake Erie pickerel and perch - and the funky atmosphere make this restaurant worth a stop when on the island. Portions are generous, service is friendly, though one or two more staff would likely help. Nevertheless, everyone is served with a smile. The restaurant is only open... More

Good food, good service...but just not worth the price tag. There are a few other restaurants on the island with similar menus with much lower prices. $18 for 6 shrimp and some fries?!
