Boy oh boy! We drove to Sarnia to see a our Specialist, and had decided on going out finding a restaurant and have lunch after. I asked at their office after the appointment, if they would recommend a good place to have lunch. “John’s Restaurant”!...I had chicken ceasar wrap and my spouse had the fish tacos! That was the best meal we have had for a very long time! Also the service was awesome as we! Thank you to Mevlude (MAY)!!!!! Wonderful atmosphere too!More
Busy spot and waitress staff seem on top of things. Our table of 3 was quick to be seated, we all had drinks in hand quickly and our food orders were place surprisingly fast as well. After eyeing up the breakfast menu, we all decided...on burgers and poutine. When I picked my burger up, for at least 30 seconds a clear watery substance dripped onto my plate (like a river). No idea what that even was. Long story short the coleslaw was actually hotter than the poutine and the burger were. Best guess is as soon as the order was received the kitchen put the salad and poutine on the plate and under the heat lamp, and undercooked the burger. (The gravy had developed a crust as if it was sitting for awhile). Will probably be back to John's, however with this being the 2nd or 3rd time an order of burgers has came out cold, will be sticking with one of the breakfast options.More
Johns has been a staple in Sarnia for my entire life. When I come to town I try to eat there whether it be take out or dine in, they never disappoint. You want good home cooking, John's is the place!
We are not from Sarnia so asked a local while shopping for a good place to eat and were directed to Johns Restaurant. It did not disappoint. From fabulous service to fabulous food. Menu has a wide variety of meals to suit all tastes. Also...has Senior priced meals. We ordered the Baby Beef Liver and the All day breakfast. The meal was very large portions even for senior and served hot and beautifully presented. However the taste is what absolutely rates this place 5 stars and more. We had Lemon Meringue and Carrot Carmel Cheesecake for desserts. Don’t usually do dessert but food was so good we figured dessert would be to. Boy was it ever. So glad we stopped to eat here. Our waitress was Joanie and was pleasant, helpful and attentive. However other staff also stopped by our table when passing to ensure we had what we needed. What a great 1st experience and definitely a reason to revisit Sarnia. Definitely recommend.More
Amazing breakfast spot; every time I visit I’m met with very kind and friendly staff and the food is always delicious. Prices are great, and the coffee is great. I definitely recommend if you’re in the area, I know this is a pretty generic review...but at least try it before listening to any of theMore
Great food and service. !!…But please clean your windows….! The weather is great and Covid excuses are sooo 2021! How about a decent fork while we’re at it. And maybe fewer random pieces of concrete to back into in the haphazard parking.
Had a back room meeting. Service was excellent. There were 10 of us and they supplied two wait staff. Very efficient and attentive.
The food is ok ? It use to be better so its not as good still ok though, Service was good , clean , good for families & or just a couple goin out for lunch or dinner
This is the 2nd worst place I’ve eaten at in Sarnia. The cream soup had clumps of wet flour through it, the toast in my sandwich was literally soggy, and the other food order was absolutely disgusting and ended up being thrown out. Staff was...not friendly at all. I had heard so much about this place but my first time here will definitely be my last. I will never waste my time nor money here again!More
Been going to John’s for many years. John’s has a great family dinning setting and always great food. “Only one” bad experience on a takeout order but that was rectified on the mention of it. The staff are always polite but some waitresses could be...more tentative sometimes forget your sitting there and could pick up dirty dishes more than they do. John’s is our go to for a great always good home cooked meal. I do wish they had strip bacon tho and we’d go for breakfast, hubby won’t go for breakfast for this reason.More
First visit inside in 2 years - Wow! Excellent food, service and kindness. Thank God some things never change. This restaurant has always been awesome.
Visiting the area we decided dinner was going to be local. Amazing food and service. I personally had the club house sandwich, had to bring some home. Thanks will be back before we leave.
We were a party of 10, got seated quickly at 2 adjacent tables which we were pleased with . Our servers were such a pleasure , always on top of coffee refills and checking in on us to see if we needed anything. Food was...typical breakfast food Eggs, bacon, omelettes, pancakes etc which was all wonderful. We will definitely return next time we’re back in Sarnia !More
We frequently visit this Restaurant and received great service every time. Food is excellent and is always served at the right Temperature. Amazing staff with great Smiles and Polite Service.
Nice selections of beer. Had the Buffalo Chicken sandwich (grilled) with rice as a side. Had coleslaw and two slices of dill pickles. Chicken was a piece of chicken. Not a pressed product. Was absolutely tasty!!!Patio restricted due to COVID. Staff did a great job...considering all the rules. Definitely will head there again when in the area.More
