Best Restaurant Ever!

Stopped in Sault Ste Marie and tried Arturo's on advise from friends. The restaurant is quaint and atmosphere is warm. The servers and amazing, friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The food was served and presented in style. The flavor is indescribable. Certainly best in northern Ontario. We had rack of lamb that was cooked with perfection and tasted of European Gourmet flavor. My wife had home made style ravioli stuffed with lobster presented in mouth watering rose sauce that cause you to savour ever bite. Our starter was Escargot in a unique white wine sauce that reminded us of German Snekensoup but with a tinge of lemon to tantalize the taste buds... We couldn't think of anything we would like better then a repeat performance.. So we went back the following night for a second serving of culinary delights! Sea food special of seared snapper bathed in a touch of heavenly white cream. With a switch of the side to awesomely created gnocchi from an Italian kitchen straight from Tuscany! We had a few words with the chef but could not come close to the words of gratitude we felt for a meal from a Michelin Star Restaurant. Rick and Brenda

Amazing food

Travelling through Sault Ste Marie, and ordered take out at the recommendation of family from Manitoba. The Caesar salad was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. I had the lobster ravioli and my partner had the Papperdelle Arturo. Both pasta dishes were rich and exploding with flavour. The egg noodles were hands down the best either of us had ever tasted. Staff were very pleasant both on the phone and in person. I will definitely eat here again if we find ourselves in the Soo.

Fine Dining in Northern Ontario

Ten years ago, I travelled Northern Ontario extensivley. Today I travel from time to time. This was by far my favourite place to dine on my business trips back then, and today. What has changed since the last time I popped in, pre COVID, is that the food has gotten even better. Eating at Arturo's is a dining experience. You are well received, well served, and dine properly. I started with the escargots in a herbed lemon butter sauce. The escargot were firm but not rubbery, and the seasoning was fine. I moved to the lobstar stuffed ravioli with scampi's. The scampi's were also firm, well cooked and not rubbery. I have to say that the ravioli could have used more lobster stuffing. A detail. The broth in the dish, a bit more seasoning ... maybe tarragon or something along those lines. But, I'd order it and eat it again as is. I could not find a wine by glass that suited me. I found the wine by glass list limited. I ordered a bottle, used what I needed, and left the rest for the staff. If you live within a couple of hours of Arturo's, or are travelling through Northern Ontario, you owe it to yourself to dine here.

We were passing through this city after a long days drive. This restaurant came highly recommended by a friend who grew up in the Sue and knows the ppl who own & work there. The ambiance was very nice however our waiter was NOT! We tried to make conversation with him several times by asking him if he knew our friend who recommended the place, we asked about the wine glasses they used & even asked what kind of coffee they used for there espresso. Every time he made us feel so uncomfortable, had no interest in engaging with us. As for our meal, the Caesar salad was a disappointment and lacked that Caesar punch of taste you usually expect. However our main course in this case was the fish & It was exceptional! Sad to say the employee had a huge effect. It’s unfortunate that someone’s lack of personality could have that big of an effect on the way a customer feels and ends up thinking about the place. Let’s not mention the cost of it, not cheep! Shouldn’t you deserve the entire experience, you should get what you pay for!

Probably best place to eat in SSM.

Really decent pasta, well cocked with well balanced ingredients and really authentic Italian vibe! Coming to SSM from Italy its not easy to find a place with good pasta, usually it’s simply disgusting, overcooked and tasteless. After almost a year in this city, it’s the only place where you can actually have some good pasta.

DEFINITELY A MUST TO EAT THERE

The food at Arturos is excellent. There were 6 of us, and with the exception of 2 people, we all had different dishes. Everyone could not get over how good their meal was. From the appetizers, to the entrees of pasta, fish and steak everything was delicious. The service was awesome and very attentive. The portions of food allowed for a few people who could not eat their entire meal, to have lunch the next day. When we are back in the Soo we will absolutely be returning here to eat.

My friend and I came here while she was visiting from out of town. Well they definitely did not disappoint. Our meals were excellent and we received our food in great time. The ambiance was perfect for couples, first dates, or old friends catching up. The waitress seemed a tad overwhelmed, however she was doing her best and it went without noticing.

The staff were so genuine, warm and attentive! And the food was superb…I am half italian, so I’m always worried when I go to an Italian restaurant that it won’t live up to my expectations. I didn’t have to worry about that here as the beef ravioli I had was tender and tasty. It was the comfort food I needed!

Arturo’s was quite good. We were warmly greeted, shown our table and menus, and looked them over. My wife ordered veal while I had ravioli. The bread and salad that were included were tasty and fresh. I (barely) finished the tasty ravioli while my wife was stuffed after maybe 2/3 of her dinner. We shared lemon blueberry cake for dessert, and we only ate half of this enormous piece. Very delicious.

Best in SSM 😋

Enjoyed another wonderful dining experience with family in beautiful Arturo’s restaurant. Everything was delicious, from the complimentary brushetta & olive tapenade, generous sized appetizers (shrimp, escargot) and mouth-watering mains (pasta, prime rib, rack of lamb). Despite being extremely busy, service was friendly and attentive. 10/10

Best Italian dining experience!

Researched dining options online and selected Arturo's after reading reviews. What a wonderful time we had and the food was superb! Our waiter was wonderful and very welcoming and we stopped to chat with the owner about our wonderful experience, so gracious. We will be back again to enjoy another delicious meal of seafood, pasta and wine!

Six of us from Toronto and Ottawa visited the place for dinner. Everyone ordered different food from the menu. Without any exception all what we asked were served at the best way possible. From Salad to main courses all the way to desserts. Our server, Daniel did a magnificent job. Thanks to Chris and Tom as owners deserve a big thank you. Our group were all satisfied with their orders. Thanks for a wonderful evening.

First time is a Charm!!

Can't believe I have lived in the Sault my entire life and never eaten at Arturo's. My wife won a gift certificate so we decided to go and check it out. They have a really amazing atmosphere inside. The service was excellent and efficient and the food was amazing. The flavors were bang on. Excellent calimari and the Chicken Saltimbocca was delicious. It was a great meal.

We attended 2 events here: a rehearsal dinner and then a small (50) person wedding. It was great. The food was superb, with obvious pride in preparation of the many dishes we had. Service was unbelievable. Efficient, friendly and fun. This is a definite hi lite of Sault Ste Marie. Right downtown it’s easy to park and get to.

Out of towners on an overnight stay we made a last minute decision to have dinner at Arturo’s. Whole family of 4 loved it! Very generous portions; excellent quality in both appetizers and entrees. Really loved the smoked duck breast; seafood pasta was awesome! 5 out of 5
