Fun place to eat and drink local craft beer. We were in St. Catharines to visit our daughter who attends Brock. Never miss a chance to stop in at Merchant Ale House. Great service, menu has a good choice and food was filling.

Had lunch with the wife here. British pub style decor with giant brew casks as the backdrop. I had the lunch special: pint with double burger/fries ($15.95). Pint- blueberry wheat was great. It's the most popular according to the bartender. The double burg was excellent, served with shoestring fries. My wife had the chicken club with salad ($13.95). Sandwich had... More

A group of four of us went for dinner on a Saturday night and although we had not made reservations we were seated in the cellar after a short wait. Great atmosphere and vibe and our server took care of us with some great suggestions. I wouldn"t normally go for a blueberry beer but it was very good. Loved the... More

I went here with my friend the other night for a brew or two. We both had a glass of their yummy blueberry wheat beer. I ordered the fried green tomato sandwich and sweet potato fries. It took quite a while for my order to come to the table, but when it did, it was delicious.

Went for supper last night with some friends. Between us all there were nachos, onion rings, burgers and tacos. All the food was delicious and plentiful. Food was nicely seasoned and spiced. Enjoyed some of their beer, very good. Worth a visit!

The merchant ale house have lots of craft beer choices...they make beer right on the location so you can always ask what the beer of the day is..but their monkey beer is one of the preferred selections by many people!!!

Had Fish and chips and the Daily Baked Pretzels, 2 huge fresh pretzels almost a meal themselves very good. Fish & chips were also good not to greasy. I didn't care for the coleslaw or tarter sauce personal taste I guess because my son liked the coleslaw. Loved the Strawberry Blonde Radler and Blueberry Wheat. Can't wait to go back... More
