If you’re looking for simply the best dine in experience with not only amazing food but exceptional service, look no further! Lot66 has been around for many years and never fails to impress its guests. I took a friend from Calgary here last week and they were beyond impressed. The service from the moment you enter the door until you leave was outstanding! We were greeted by Brittany and shown to our table, within minutes we all had water and menus. Our server Alexandria took our drink orders and we chatted a bit and she was back, we didn’t even really have a chance to look at the menu, so she says I will go grab your bread and I will be back to take your order. We were so impressed with the beautiful decor and atmosphere we still hadn’t looked at the menu, it’s a smaller menu then before covid and the owner Mike told us he would be making a new menu with some new exciting dishes. Alex came back and we started giving our orders and she made some awesome suggestions for appetizers and some newer dishes. Two of my guests ordered two appetizers to share, they ordered escargot and mushroom bruschetta. We also ordered Ceaser salad and French onion soup, due to shortages of some products the owner came out to let us know that his famous French onion soup was good, he rated it a 6.5 out of 10, my guest from Calgary said it was the best French onion soup she had ever had, I replied if the owner says it’s a 6.5 it’s still good, but his original is a 11! The soup was very good, I think the owner/chef was being hard on himself. Our main dishes were filet mignon with mashed potatoes and vegetables, a charcuterie board and lemon crusted chicken with potatoes and broccoli, when I made our reservation the owner seen it and knew I am allergic to peppers and he made sure he had broccoli for me. The owner and servers in this establishment go above and beyond. Our food was delicious and very good size portions, my guest from Calgary insists we must go back as there was so much more she would love to try!

Our on stop in Thunder Bay, we were undecided where to have dinner. We have read lots about Lot 66 and when our friends parent's, who live there, also recommended the restaurant, we had to try it out. What a great suggestion. Our shared mussel starter was delicious and plentiful for the two of us. The mains were outstanding. My duck in a blueberry reduction was superb and my wife's 7 oz fillet was cooked to perfection. The best she has ever had, which is saying alot considering she has eaten this cut in numerous restaurant around the world. The wine selection was gòod and the atmosphere was lovely. Our only feedback was that the temperature in the restaurant was too cold and the server, although pleasant and attentive, appeared rushed, which took a little away from the experience. Nevertheless, a must when in Thunder Bay.

During these uncertain times Lot 66 is doing everything right to make the diner feel safe. Table spacing, paper menus, mask wearing and information taking besides presenting an excellent dining experience. The staff is extremely pleasant and well informed. I don’t think you could go wrong with anything on the menu. Salads delicious, steak and chicken cooked perfectly with crisp fresh vegetables and don’t forget dessert. A reward for being so good during “Covid”. Thanks for an enjoyable evening.

My friend and I had dinner here and the service was friendly and attentive. I had a bramble cocktail that was very good. Our artichoke salads were so delicious. My friend had the Atlantic salmon with risotto and I had the 7 oz Angus steak - both very good choices. We also had complimentary bread with olive oil & balsamic for dipping. I would go back here in a heartbeat!

Placed a call today to Lot 66 . looking to order from their Take Out menu for the obvious reason. Chef/Owner Mike answered my my call. He was absolutely fun to deal with as we worked our way through the menu ... We ended up ordering 2 pizzas plus 4 appetizers. I won't bore you with the order details except to say that EVERYTHING was cooked to perfection. The cheerful staff who greeted me at the front lobby were real good at their work. Professional , but casual. Don't be afraid to pull out you wallet here as it is great food at reasonable prices. We. Are. Pleased.

The decor is the best part of this restaurant. Very sexy! Service was average. Wine by the glass is limited. Veal piccata was soggy, tasteless, pale and wet! Gross. (Server took it off the bill without me complaining about it. She saw I didn’t eat it) The steak was way undercooked and cold. The crab cakes were just ok. The roasted Brie in phyllo was good but way way way too sweet! I would have it for dessert! The whisky and raspberries were outstanding. Will return just for those but nothing else.

I started the meal off with the Dave's Fried Chicken which was absolutley delicious! For my main meal I ordered the Margarita pizza. I'm not the type to complain, but once it came out I had no other choice. The pizza was paper thin and only had mozarella cheese, chopped parsley and a couple diced tomatoes. The description on the menu was advertised that it would come with basil and a balsamic glaze (which typical Margarita pizza's have as toppings). When I told the waitress about the pizza she came back with a bowl of chopped up basil and the balsamic glaze for me to put on the pizza myself. I was honeslty disappointed that they did not offer to make a new pizza that was a PROPER Margarita pizza and how they advertised it. The waitress said that the chef's excuse was that "people were complaining that there was too much basil and balsamic, so they decided not to make it with it". If this was the case they should not have advertised the pizza description or at least asked the customer if thats the way they prefer it. The waitress came back and said that the manager felt bad and wanted to make it up to us by giving us some shots. However, not all of us were drinking including myself so it didn't really make up for the disappointing food. All of the other meals were great and I had a delicious appetizer. I am just very disappointed in the improperly made pizza and the excuse that the chef had.

We made a reservation, indicated it was a special occasion, 4 days in advance to celebrate a birthday. The table for 2 we were seated at, was right next to the main entrance, about 8 feet from the hostess station. Possibly the worst table in the place. There were several other unoccupied tables for 4 but we didn't want to start the evening off by complaining so we went with it. My steak was excellent, my wife's seafood linguini was mediocre ( very little actual seafood in it ). After we finished dinner we bailed on coffee and dessert because we had enough of the in out traffic next to our table. While paying the bill ( I was still planning to tip because the service was good and my steak was great ), I asked our server why we were seated at a table that I might expect to get on a busy night as a walk in with no reservation. Here is the truly disappointing part of the evening. She deflected the blame on to me, that if we didn't like the table I should have asked for a better one and she would put us at one of the, still empty, tables for four. "I am not a mind reader you know" is a direct quote. At this point I skipped the tip and stopped listening to her explain my mistake to me. A nice evening dining experience turned out to be a "diner experience". I didn't realize that the customer is obligated to complain until they get a decent available table at this restaurant. We won't make another mistake by making Lot 66 a regular spot in our weekly dinner date rotation.

Dining out during COVID is often weird. I was pleased with the efforts that staff made to make the experience as pleasant as possible. I had the pear salad which was fresh, crunchy and delicious. I particularly liked the candied walnuts. My brie and bacon pizza was very tasty and the thin crust cooked just right. My wife enjoyed the pickerel with veggies and found it excellent. Glad to have dined at Lot 66!

Couldn’t have been happier with every aspect of our visit. The decor was comfy-elegant and well spaced for covid. The staff was professional yet made everyone welcome and comfortable. Then the food was really top notch. My favourite was the crab cake starter and my friends seafood Alfredo had a very generous amount of seafood. A great experience.

Had an incredible dinner at Lot 66….the food was amazing and the service was fantastic. The restaurant was busy but we didn’t have to wait for any service. The hostess seated us immediately and our server was very attentive. Love the environment….cozy but still private enough to have a conversation without having to speak loudly. The owner could be seen visiting the tables and checking in on his guests….loved it! Always a favourite spot of ours.

It’s crazy that in 2022 a posh restaurant like this patrons are greeted by stairs at the main entrance. That’s pretty much a door slammed shut for seniors and people with disabilities who can’t climb stairs. The restaurant ambiance was great. I had the rack of lamb, pear blue cheese salad, and cheese cake and it was all delicious. The server was attentive, however she always was interrupting us mid sentence to ask us how we were doing. She even interrupted us to boisterously tell us which knife was for each dish as she placed each of the knives on the table, it was super weird. Overall this was a great experience with the exception of the lack of barrier free access to enter the restaurant.

Lot 66 never disappoints. It is a lovely restaurant with a great ambiance and wonderful food. It is a high-end price point but absolutely worth it. We had a party of 11. Our server was attentive and delightful. The hostess who was helping her was fabulous. From the appetizers to the mains and even dessert, everything was well presented and delicious. One guest asked for a 'Chicago style' steak and the kitchen presented just what he asked for. The chef came out to see how we were all doing, which was really appreciated. The restaurant was very busy but the attention to detail was spot on. Thanks!

I stopped by for dinner on a Wednesday night and the restaurant was very busy. I ordered appetizers and wine to get started and the Chef came out to introduce himself and talk about some of the dinner items. He also made a wine recommendation to accompany my meal. All in all easily my best dining experience in Thunder Bay and I will certainly be back. Staff and food were amazing, and the patio had a great atmosphere to make the evening just about perfect.

What can I say but wow excellent! The food at Lot 66 is always awesome. This is my favorite restaurant. The food is always consistently great, the dishes plated beautifully and appetizing to look at. The service is second to none and you always feel welcome and relaxed. Had a filet dinner, spot on. Salad was perfect. Dessert was excellent although almost to full to enjoy. Atmosphere 10 stars. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
