Breakfast disappointing. Egg, meat, potatoes were all under cooked and lacked flavour. I rated a three because i’ve had amazing breakfast there, but it wasn’t appetizing this current visit 👎

As so often happens, sometimes you don't get to those iconic diners that are very close to home. I made a point of taking a friend of mine here for breakfast recently and it was worth the short trip. Located in the McIntyre Community Complex along with the Arena, Curling Club, Lions Den and Timmins Sports Hall of Fame, it is a good place to eat and an interesting place to visit. The service is friendly and attentive. The food is good, but take in the whole experience and revisit a piece of the past.

This is a fun vintage style restaurant with old signs, pictures of famous people, and hockey players on the wall. It is connected to the local ice arena and has a small town feel to it. The food was really good if you like home-style meals. If you want to laugh a lot, just read the menu. It has funny comments throughout it. One I recall when something like this, "Drink the coffee at McIntyre's and you will be full of joy and love for neighbour."

Dont miss this spot, doesn't look like much in a skating rink but the food is incredible. A lot of history and great food.

For years this was a go to place for Sunday brunch. Must be new kitchen staff. The quality of the food is inconsistent. At times you could boast it is the best meal you have eaten in a while and then just weeks or months later the worst you've been served. I don't want to be unkind, but when the quality of the food is inconsistent, it is difficult to make a habit of returning. I once brought a number of visitors having boasted of the great food and then had to apologize when the experience did not live up to the hype I had shared.

It's a little of the beaten path but worth the effort if you want classic restaurant fare. The food is fresh & tasty & nicely prepared. Still a great choice.

Lived in Schumacher almost 10 years and had never tried this place before so thought today we would stop in. The food was the Standard fare for this type of restaurant - nothing to get excited about in my opinion. Menu could be made a little friendlier to read (ie: lose the cartoons). Its the kind of place I would stop in for a quick bite if it wasn't for the main issue - the service. I found the service to be lacking, even though there was no other customers in the restaurant at the time of my visit. Was sitting there with my son and you could overhear the waitress making personal phone calls and using inappropriate language. Was not impressed.
Was my first and sadly last visit to this establishment.

Good old dinner food & service, surrounded by memorabilia from the town. Old-fashioned milkshakes (fountain style) and great portions of food. Friendly and quick service.

Club house platter is so good and has real meat. Good French fries too! Great spot to pick up supper after a hockey game. Poutine is very good as well. Clean bathrooms and restaurant. Service can be a little slow when very busy but worth the wait.

We LOVED this place. We wandered in to see the legendary arena where many hockey greats have played. Although I lived in Timmins for many years, I'd never been to their coffee shop. When we walked in, we were immediately taken with the retro feel of the place. The waitress was friendly and welcoming and we settled in at the historic lunch counter to have a beer. We then ordered another beer, and food, and ended up spending a couple of hours. The next morning we met family at the Mac for breakfast, and although they live in Timmins, they were also impressed with the breakfast and the atmosphere. It was one of our favorite places...we'll be back!

Every time I come here the food is great and affordable. They have the best chicken strips. I'm pretty sure they're home made.
