Since the fire and remodelling of this ESM, this place really needs to get back to its old standards of food quality and level of service. The food is not nearly as good as in the past and the service is such that I felt...that tipping was not necessary, although I did tip in the end. If the owner and or manager would come around to their patrons, not looking for lip service but rather constructive comments, they would be able to address some of these issues right from the get go. I'll go again to see if there is improvement.More

Renovations are nice, food was ok, not great. Service was ok, not great. Disappointed to see the bruschetta off the menu, was my favourite thing to have there. Once we ordered, food arrived very fast, wasn’t as good as my last Visit. Very disappointed

After a lengthy wait for them to reopen after a fire we( myself, partner and our daughter) were really looking forward to enjoying our night out. We were seated promptly, our waitress (who never introduced herself) was quick to come and take our drink and...dinner orders. She brought our bread and salads out right away. Once we were done with our first loaf my partner asked for another, she nodded and went off. After awhile she still hadn’t brought our bread and my partner had finished his salad and drink and wanted more. Tried to get her attention and she wouldn’t look at him. Several attempts later he finally gets her attention and asks for a salad and drink refill. And again we wait. Keep in mind she still hasn’t brought the other loaf of bread yet. She finally comes back with the bread and plops it down on the table says nothing and storms away. 5 minutes or so later she brings my partners salad and informs him that they’re changing the iced tea machine so that may take awhile, he just asks for a pop instead. A different waitress comes to bring us our dinner she was so friendly and nice, and spoke more to us than our own waitress. We are enjoying our dinner my partner puts down his fork and she walks up to the table looks at me and asks if we want take out containers all the while my daughter and myself still had forks in our hands. I responded that “yeah I guess I can finish it at home”. She came back a few minutes later pretty much threw the take out containers on the table and walked off without a word. We left there in shock. We felt rushed and totally disrespected the only time she was “ nice” was when we were getting ready to leave. Never will we ever go to this restaurant again! The food was mediocre, the portions were small, and it felt like such a hassle to get anymore bread and salad which is suppose to be all you can eat!More

New renovated however it feels like a large open chaotic space...tables are plentiful however crammed in like sardines in a can...terrible experience...was at bar for 20 minutes as we waited for a table and no one approached us despite our efforts to order a drink...was...finally seated and requested the table opposite one offered and was refused as only 2 and table not cleared and for 4...server seats a couple (2) immediately after us and never cleaned the table...staff was clueless...lacks customer service knowledge....and the openness feels like eating in a gym with tables crammed together for numbers not and enjoyable meal outMore

Okay, I get it. Tuesday night, and they were busy. But when you finally get seated, then wait. And wait. A couple gets seated to my right. Then another couple seated adjacent. Still waiting, now into 15 minutes, not even a drink. The couple adjacent...get service. I commented to those to my right who also were getting upset. Another 5 minutes, server approached the couple to my right. They spoke up saying I was here long before them, suggesting I be served. And I was. Apparently staffing, or lack thereof, is a problem. So if you’re in a hurry, and they’re busy, consider your options. Once served, food was usually good with the usual ESM menu.More

It took a long time to get our food, but it finally arrived. The salmon I ordered was dry but eatable. Everyone seemed okay with their food. Then the Bills came. All wrong. She took them back and tried again.... I'll cut to the chase....She did this 5 or 6 times. We explained our orders every single time. She got more and more flustered each time. The manager came, MORE confusion. When it was finally sorted out 25 mins later... we asked the Manager if our waitress was new. She said no and walked away. Very strange place. Not cheap either. I guess confusion cost extra.More

We had a really nice waiter who was eager to please, and got us clean dishes and cutlery after we were given dirty items. The menu was lame and really needs an improvement from the frozen, deep fried, sugar laced items. There isn’t much for...a vegetarian to eat, even the house salad lacked vegetables and taste.More
