Nice restaurant, regular chain.
Service was nice and quick, order the mains, received our salads, ate them and waited for the server to come back, she disappeared for a little bit. She then came and took away our salads, asking if we wanted another, we both said sure. Before we could get the second salad our mains appeared, we took the salad any way and ate them after our meal.
Food was good, we were there on a Tuesday night and I believe they have a kids special and it was a very loud room because of that.
Would definitely be back if we are in the area again.

Since the fire and remodelling of this ESM, this place really needs to get back to its old standards of food quality and level of service. The food is not nearly as good as in the past and the service is such that I felt that tipping was not necessary, although I did tip in the end. If the owner and or manager would come around to their patrons, not looking for lip service but rather constructive comments, they would be able to address some of these issues right from the get go. I'll go again to see if there is improvement.

Renovations are nice, food was ok, not great. Service was ok, not great. Disappointed to see the bruschetta off the menu, was my favourite thing to have there. Once we ordered, food arrived very fast, wasn’t as good as my last Visit. Very disappointed

NOT the “original” East Side Mario’s I have known. New ownership in Timmins????
One wonders if corners are being cut to save a dollar.
Family dinner/reunion. Special occasion
Table of 7 for a Sunday night 7pm. Seated right away, not very busy. Dinner served was incorrect. 2 meals were not served/not ready at all. Forgotten. One meal was wrong and sent back. Child’s meal was not fully served. Cheese stix were forgotten and brought to us at the end just before the bill.
Server didn’t not come back at all to see how we were doing or top up our drinks. The 2 pasta dinners were very dry and extra sauce was requested as we were hungry! I normally would have sent this back. The Alfredo sauce was watered down and lacked flavour. Chicken Parmesan was dry and lacked sauce.
The other waitress for a different section was the only person who was reflective of making sure we were ok and taken care of.
Very disappointed and will not return to this location.
Simple reason…..no compensation to make our experience right.
You should not have to ask!!!

Ordered over phone for pick up at 5.30, I arrived on time and due to pandemic several were waiting outside for their orders while one person was allowed in restaurant that one place was being held by a delivery person for skip the dishes , even after some one opened the door and said to him come out so we can enquire. NO One from East Side came to door, I finally went in and yelled to ask a question and was told they were behind , AFTER half an hour of waiting in -22 weather I went back in and very loudly asked if the skip the dishes and delivery orders were getting priority as I could see them going out .. Low and behold within 3 min my order was brought out to the car..Worst thing I heard on top of the blame game , it was call centre not them , which is not true as people waiting outside had called them. The manager at least I presume it was the manager told me to my face she had taken the phone off the hook as she was getting to many complaints.. GREAT customer service NOT!! Will never order from them again and when this pandemic is over will not be going back to restaurant .. Will be trying to contact customer service tomorrow or Tuesday.. And to boot who ever she was was NOT wearing a mask nor was the person who brought food out to car so this will be reported to Health Unit on Tuesday morning when they open

Our waiter was very hard working, extremely busy but served us extremely well. The chicken Napoli was saturated in basil and oil and my friend left most of it. I was quite happy to see Calzone on the menu!! Hadn't had it for years!!! BOO HOO!! It was beyond AWFUL!! No mozzarella although I opened it up completely after my first bite of that pathetic replica .My waiter stated that some cooks were really stingy with the cheese. BUT HEAVY ON OIL AND HERBS I thought. The entire entres were awful but the house salad was quite good and we ate it all up.

This isnt ine of my regular spots for lunch in Timmins but i went with some colleauges before leaving for the airport. They have a great lunch menu that is good price, selection and tasty. I had the soup and sandwhich combo and both were truly excellent. Plus, it was served quickly and the server was friendly. Will add Marios to my regular lunch spot choices....

If you purchase a 50$ gift card and it doesn't work the second you buy it they won't keep the card that doesn't work and give you a new one they will make you wait weeks for a corporate response on how to do there jobs! Terrible service. Imma take that gift card and use it somewhere else what a poor establishment!

person on the phone is not qualified should be working in a pit all by him self....this business should take full responsibility for its actions and try hiring intelligent people for a change so we can relate to them and have a decent conversation on the phone....

After a lengthy wait for them to reopen after a fire we( myself, partner and our daughter) were really looking forward to enjoying our night out. We were seated promptly, our waitress (who never introduced herself) was quick to come and take our drink and dinner orders. She brought our bread and salads out right away. Once we were done with our first loaf my partner asked for another, she nodded and went off. After awhile she still hadn’t brought our bread and my partner had finished his salad and drink and wanted more. Tried to get her attention and she wouldn’t look at him. Several attempts later he finally gets her attention and asks for a salad and drink refill. And again we wait. Keep in mind she still hasn’t brought the other loaf of bread yet. She finally comes back with the bread and plops it down on the table says nothing and storms away. 5 minutes or so later she brings my partners salad and informs him that they’re changing the iced tea machine so that may take awhile, he just asks for a pop instead. A different waitress comes to bring us our dinner she was so friendly and nice, and spoke more to us than our own waitress. We are enjoying our dinner my partner puts down his fork and she walks up to the table looks at me and asks if we want take out containers all the while my daughter and myself still had forks in our hands. I responded that “yeah I guess I can finish it at home”. She came back a few minutes later pretty much threw the take out containers on the table and walked off without a word. We left there in shock. We felt rushed and totally disrespected the only time she was “ nice” was when we were getting ready to leave. Never will we ever go to this restaurant again! The food was mediocre, the portions were small, and it felt like such a hassle to get anymore bread and salad which is suppose to be all you can eat!

New renovated however it feels like a large open chaotic space...tables are plentiful however crammed in like sardines in a can...terrible experience...was at bar for 20 minutes as we waited for a table and no one approached us despite our efforts to order a drink...was finally seated and requested the table opposite one offered and was refused as only 2 and table not cleared and for 4...server seats a couple (2) immediately after us and never cleaned the table...staff was clueless...lacks customer service knowledge....and the openness feels like eating in a gym with tables crammed together for numbers not and enjoyable meal out

Okay, I get it. Tuesday night, and they were busy. But when you finally get seated, then wait. And wait.
A couple gets seated to my right. Then another couple seated adjacent.
Still waiting, now into 15 minutes, not even a drink. The couple adjacent get service. I commented to those to my right who also were getting upset.
Another 5 minutes, server approached the couple to my right. They spoke up saying I was here long before them, suggesting I be served. And I was.
Apparently staffing, or lack thereof, is a problem. So if you’re in a hurry, and they’re busy, consider your options.
Once served, food was usually good with the usual ESM menu.

It took a long time to get our food, but it finally arrived. The salmon I ordered was dry but eatable. Everyone seemed okay with their food. Then the Bills came. All wrong. She took them back and tried again.... I'll cut to the chase. She did this 5 or 6 times. We explained our orders every single time. She got more and more flustered each time. The manager came, MORE confusion. When it was finally sorted out 25 mins later... we asked the Manager if our waitress was new. She said no and walked away.
Very strange place. Not cheap either. I guess confusion cost extra.

We had a really nice waiter who was eager to please, and got us clean dishes and cutlery after we were given dirty items. The menu was lame and really needs an improvement from the frozen, deep fried, sugar laced items. There isn’t much for a vegetarian to eat, even the house salad lacked vegetables and taste.
