This is the smallest coffee shop in Toronto, but I have to say the coffee is disappointing. I tried it out given the uniqueness of their small footprint, but the coffee is not great!

The Coffee Lab is using the edge of a store display window to offer coffee. The entire space must be 1m deep. Blink and you will miss it. Open your eyes wide and try the coffee which is actually extremely good! The barista knows his...trade and makes excellent espresso in his micro-space. The barista is squeezed between his machine and the window. He has to practice yoga to reach anything in the fridge. Watching all that activity is rather entertaining as can attest the many people walking down the street and taking videos! Of course it takes a bit longer to get your coffee but you get to watch the barista in the fish tank and chat with others in the line up. Great time!More

Toronto is almost unique in its adherence to the coffee bean, and so there is a varied approach to figuring out the best coffee places in the city. This place should definitely be in consideration though, as their flat white is perfect.

A quaint little cafe where the baristas have mastered the craft of the perfect coffee. Every cup is made to order and with great care. You may have to wait a little longer for your cup, but it is well worth the wait.

We love coffee, we love FRESH coffee! We read that the coffee lab is a very small coffee place to get a cup of fresh pour over drip coffee. We took a detour, stopped at this place, paid for parking and went inside. Interesting place...to get a coffee to go, located in the entrance of a book store. We mentioned to the barista that we read about this was the place to get a fresh pour over drip coffee (one of few places to get one) and that we took a detour just to get a coffee! He replied that was great, he took our order of two pour over drip coffees, told us it might be a couple of minutes to set up, turned around and got two very small to go cups and poured coffee into them from a pot. Nothing special...another stale coffee that was sitting in a pot...More
