We both had the Beef filet served with a port reduction. (Manzo). It was excellent. Cooked to perfection.

Had a special belated birthday dinner with a friend at La Sala today. Last day of a long weekend, so, it was not too busy. Service was amazing. Both meals were absolutely delicious- Veal Marsala and a rack of lamb dish. Shared a Cesar salad...before which was also great. Highly recommend these dishes. Thank you for a great evening.More

The black pasta with salmon didn’t have any flavor. Wife’s tagliatelle was very overcooked. She couldn’t twist the pasta with her fork, it just fell apart. The waitstaff, while ver friendly, were not very attentive. We did not see the waitstaff after the food was...dropped off until we we’re waiting for the plates to be cleared.More

Visiting Toronto, and my wife and I wanted more than just the small joints lining Queen St East every 20 feet. We wanted a nicer place for a sit down meal. Happy to have found this place. It was a busy Wednesday evening but they...had a few tables for walk ins. My wife had the lasagna and I had the penne pomedaro. Both were great. The merlot I had was excellent. They bring fresh bread out before serving with dipping oil. Bread was excellent, oil with balsamic however was just okay. Our entrees were both very good. The only con I have is that my dish was suppose to have fresh basil but it was no to be found. There was one young lady serving and a young man doing both hosting and helping serve. They were working so hard and kept a great attitude. A+ service considering the odds they were up against. Kitchen seemed to be bring plates out at a very quick rate. If you're in the Beaches district, I recommend La Sala for great Italian food. A welcome change from the dozens of "quickie" restaurants that are in the area.More

My boyfriend and I decided to have our brunch here before our day at the beach. We saw the menu posted outside the restaurant and headed in. The full menu is not online so I cannot say exactly what I got, but I remember my...omelette was supposed to come with toast and home fries in addition to the potatoes in the omelette. My meal did not come with home fries, and I even went back down to the menu to make sure I should've gotten them. When we pointed it out to the server, she was unsure and asked the chef, who said that's "just how it is." I don't think this is fair but what can you do? Otherwise, the meal was good, but for the price and service, I will not be returning.More

For $40 for a single take-out entree, I was treated to over done meat, missing bread - which I paid extra for - and when we returned, the manager was very nice, until we mentioned that the meat was over-cooked. We Even suggested that perhaps...it was because on the return home, it continued to cook in the sauce. (We were going to suggest perhaps cooking it less on take out orders) But before we had a chance the cook - I won't say chef. Came out of the kitchen yelling and screaming and I DO mean screaming that he didn't over-cook the meat! He even went back into the kitchen and returned with a piece of raw meat waving it in my husbands face!! I worked in the service industry for decades at such places as Barbarians, Not Fred, Kit Kat etc. and I can say Never in all my years have I seen this kind of behaviour to a customer. Needless to say we will never go back and personally I think the "cook" should be fired!More

i cant give this restaurant any stars (the one is too generous)..I ordered the veal piccata with extra bread for takeout the bill for the 1 dish was $45.00. When I got home there wasnt any bread and the veal was over done (tough) I...went back to get the bread and told the manager the Veal was over done he suggested that they make another veal at that point the chef (if you can call him that more like a line cook) came out of the kitchen and literally started yelling at me that I was wrong about the cook of the meal.... when I say yelling that an understatement he was shouting/screaming at me, he then went back in the kitchen and brought out raw meat and shoved it my face yelling something about how he cooks perfect veal...... Suffice to say I left and wil NEVER go back and god forbid anyone complains about their food at La Sala lest they get yelled at and raw meat shoved in their face.........I would recommend staying away at least 100 ft....More

Super Italian restaurant. Excellent food and service. Owner and chef uses the best quality ingredients and whips them up into scrumptious Italian fare. Shrimp linguini, Cesar salad, wines ..it's all great from start to finish. Nice atmosphere and good outdoor heaters for the veranda. Been...there over 6 times and did takeout .. always consistent. Conveniently located just off of the main artery in the Beach tucked away behind Cobbs sits a beautiful historical home once converted to a Garden Centre that is now La Sala. The food is always delicious and the staff friendly and courteous. Perfect for a...night out to celebrate or just a night out. Definitely recommended when visiting our little neighbourhood outside the big smoke.More

Nice location in the east eand/ beaches area right on Queen. Nice sit-out patio and deck. Very Italian and authentic menu. We were four and ordered a bunch of apps and mains to share with 4 plates! This was a great idea. Servers were great...even though they were rushed to set up and some ingredients were not available. Will go again now that we are re-openendMore

Deep fried kale ok n p. But drenched on oil and balsamic. Horrible The squid was also drenched on the oil and cheap balsamic. Not even a piece of lemon to kill the amount of oil Linguini overcooked and no flavour. When you advertise asparagus...use the good part not the Woody part that’s not usable Again pastas drenched on cream and too much garlic Garlic is good but too much, makes your stomach sick later Nice server , she was very polite and sincere wine was good and decent Chef / owner should cut the menu down if he can’t handle the CostaMore

Was enjoying my visit to the Beaches area, and on the walk back to the car we discovered this little gem parked across the street, we went in to see if they could, without reservations accommodate us for dinner and we were in luck. As...far as impromptu dinners go this turned out to be so enjoyable. We sat indoors as their lovely terrace was full, we had a picturesque seating arrangement in the bay window over looking the terrace and street as well as a view of the chef and much of his meal prepping. Service was fantastic and the food was really good. Both my friend and I were very happy with the meals we ordered. I would say that I wasnt as pleased with my appetizer of beef carpaccio as it was way too cold to enjoy and the vinaigrette was served on the side where I prefer for it to have marinated a tad and be room temperature, otherwise it was also ok. All in all I keep a positive memory of the experience .More

My friend and I stopped by on a Thursday evening. We both got a drink (pictured before we had a sip) and they were not even close to being filled up. I expect a drink to be full when spending $10+ dollars on it. Was...not happy about that at all. Then ordered spaghetti and meatballs which was not tasty at all. The meatballs had a very well weird flavour. Definitely would not recommend. I won’t be coming back here.More
