The patio was lit so pretty, the service was not rushed and although it did take a little longer for my hyper husband to get his vino, i told him to breathe and take in the patio and what could be our last chance to get out for a while during Covid. We had apps of artichoke, calamari and the cheese and meat tray. All wonderful. Our mains of pizza, pasta and chicken supreme were great. Four of us shared Nona's lemon pie because we were so full. lovely night. note to resto - you need a key on the keypad to up the tip to 25% for our server. Makes life easier.

Capocaccia near St Clair has been one of my favorite restaurants in Toronto on account of the authentic Italian cusine. They charge $25 for a glass of white house wine. It's too bad! But I'll not go there anymore.

Capocaccia is a dining experience that you are sure to enjoy every time. We have dined there many times with friends, and we have never been disappointed with the food or service. The menu has lots of great choices. The dishes are creatively prepared and delicious and the quality of the food and service are superb. The wine list is extensive. Each couple shared the Carciofi appetizer which was fresh, flavourful, and so delicious. For our mains, we had the Branzino, the Bistecca di Manzo, the Chicken Caesar and the Bolognese. All of us loved our choices. For dessert we ordered the Crostata di Pere - a wonderful dessert. Our server, Sabrina, was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. We appreciated the excellent service we received from Sabrina. Her friendly and professional manner as well as her excellent suggestions made for an enjoyable and great dining experience.

Very disappointing. I am giving this 2 stars because the food is good and the kitchen is doing their job. We are regular customers and left feeling like we wasted our time and money. The table was dirty, some of the food never came. No one asked how the meal was and the water was never refilled. We told the manager and he couldn't care less. There are a lot of restaurants in the area to choose from that appreciate their customers and give value for the money.

I visited this restaurant for the second time. Just like the first one, the employees who work here have uncomfortable interrupting lunch time with their friends. Waitress kept asking me if I had finished eating, so I had to leave early without even talking to them. The food was wonderful, but the staff was terrible. Especially the female staff. I love the food in this restaurant and would love to visit again. I hope you fix the problem. In the late afternoon, the table wasn't even full and we had a feeling that we wanted to get out. We couldn't finish our meal because we were asked in the hour if we had finished eating 4 times during the meal, but we were uncomfortable and couldn't sit down and had to give up eating. I never write a bad review, but I hope it improves I hope so.

We sat on the patio, which is airy and pleasant. I had the Pizza Dante with a glass of red wine, followed by an espresso. My companion had the pepperoni pizza. What I had was certainly very good, but I probably should have tried one of the non-pizza dishes to really assess the quality of this place. The service was also very good. The wine is pricey.

Delicious food and great service. Good choice of specials and good wine selection. I had the Branzino with a Cavoletti salad and it was delicious. The other members of our party had the Linguine with clams and the Grilled Veal Chop. Both loved their food as well. We shared a bottle of Vermentio which we all enjoyed. The restaurant offers an Aperitivo from 4 pm to 6 pm and Set Menu Options for 8 or more people. The staff is also friendly and professional. They help make the dining experience wonderful. Once you try this restaurant, you will be looking forward to dining there again.

This was a birthday lunch with a good friend of mine who lives in the area and loves this charming haunt. It was a Wednesday and we were seated at a lovely, quiet table on their terrace. It is on a side street so less traffic noise. In winter they enclose and use heaters. They are so helpful and polite and delivered the tiramisu on queue as a birthday surprise. We shared a fresh flavorful salad called Rucola (arugula, Belgian endive, radish, clementine and light citrus dressing), pappardelle bolognese for a main, then light, heavenly tiramisu and cappuccino. Excellent. I've sojourned in Italy five times and was longing for it; this helped to transport me there!

I HATE it when they start taking the plates and cutlery away before everyone at the table is finished their main. The food was good and priced reasonably. The staff friendly but seemed a bit rushed and discombobulated at times. Please teach staff not to clear until everyone is finished their meal.

Buyer Beware. This was a terrible experience from start to finish; from the service to the wine to the food. Save your money and go elsewhere. Our first clue should have been that the restaurant was almost empty but then we had the whole section to ourselves. The Service: With so few people in attendance the service should have been a no brainer. Our server who bragged about having 25 years of experience evidently has not learned a lot in those years. 1. We ordered bruschetta with anchovies. We got bruschetta with cheese and figs. When asked why we did not get what we had ordered the reply was that the kitchen had not prepared bruschetta with anchovies that evening. So he Brough the bruschetta with figs which had some melted cheese with a sliced fig thrown on top (a last minute substitute). ode cheese had no flavour and did little to bring out the flavour of the fig. They were not complementary. He then offered to bring us a few anchovies on the side which at the time we thought was a nice gesture until we discovered that he charged us for the anchovies. Since there was nothing to eat the anchovies with we asked if the restaurants had any crackers which he promptly brought from the kitchen. And you guessed it charged us for them. Not a great start to the evening or finish when the bill arrived. 2. We asked if there was a house wine that might be less expensive than those on the wine list and were told "No!" all of the wines are listed. We decided not to order any wine since the prices were too high to warrant the value. As a former wine importer myself I was not impressed. The waiter then came back to say that he in fact did have a house wine that he could serve to us at a lower price than the other wines that were quoted on the menu. We asked him to bring it please. He brought the wine. Opened the bottle and then poured everyone a glass without the courtesy of a taste test beforehand. After having tasted the wine we understood why. Don't get me wrong. We did drink it as we had had it with this joker with 25 years experience. 3. The dishes. Now perhaps we were too much of a problem for him. I am not saying that he told the kitchen to prepare bad food but if that were not the case then the dishes were simply poorly prepared. The pizzas. Canned tuna topping was disgusting. If it were not canned then it was simply beyond its best before date. Rather than a crispy crust we had to contend with a sloppy, soppy crust that did not hold up to the toppings. Pizza with anchovies provided the same sloppy, soppy crust. Oh yes, extra anchovies were brought and extra charges were incurred. Caesar salad. A deconstructed salad with uncut lettuce (a blob on the plate) topped with a little dressing , a few slivers of parmesan cheese and 2 tiny anchovies,,, yes, there are those anchovies again. They must cost the restaurant their weight in gold the way that the use so little and charge extra if you dare ask for ... "more please." Eggplant parmesan Basic but not as good as the one I make at home. I can only guess given the poor quality of the other dishes that the ingredients might not be the best. The fish dish was fine as it should be since it was the most expensive dish ordered. I guess you get what you pay for in service, wine and food.

Celebrated my son's birthday with family and friends at Capocaccia. Visited frequently when I lived in the area, but had not been in for a while. We had reservations, good thing, as the place was packed on a Tuesday evening. We had a stellar night. Food was exceptional, as was our server who made great recommendations and let us order multiple dishes from the menu and dine family style. Truly a memorable evening for everyone at our table. This place still has 'it'.

Great family dinner last night. A warm atmosphere and inviting smells open your appetite the moment you step in. We had a reservation but it was busy (prime time Saturday night) and our table wasn't ready. The host offered us graciously a delicious Chianti Classico Reserva on the house. We had CARPACCIO DI MANZO and (on specials) deep fried risotto balls for appetizers, the MELINA pizza (the best tomato, goat cheese, arugula, prosciutto pizza I've ever had!), CONCHIGLIE E PISTACCHIO and SALMONE for main, and tiramisu. My wife and I cook, so we're both demanding when we eat out. Extremely satisfying flavors, filing portions, and deprived of the insane amount of salt that many restaurants tend to use. The service was impeccable. All in all, what a night out at the restaurant should be.
