Got this for dinner through just eat. It came super quick and they payed attention to my comments of no cilantro. No complaints. To start we got the hot and sour soup and the yam+avocado and shrimp+avocado super rolls. The hot and sour soup was a bit light/watery and more sweet than hot, but still good flavour. I'd never had... More

You can check out my other reviews to see that I'm not in the habit of lashing out against restaurants but that's what I feel compelled to do here. You see, I'm a foodie and I have travelled a lot. I've eaten in very poor third world countries, I've dined in Warszaw Pact countries, I have even spent four months... More

It is always busy and maybe that's why they forget some details of your order like double chicken or extra spicy etc. They do have good choice but seems a bit confused. If you get what you order it is delicious not to expensive and good. To go available as well. I like udon there

A great place for inexpensive, decent asian foods. A good mix of types of cuisine, something for everyone. Although it's not fancy, they do bring food to your table after ordering at the front. Eat in is casual but nice, and the food does well for takeout as well.

We thought it would be nice to enjoy a steaming bowl of pho on a cold winter day (Dec 28) while in downtown Toronto. But where? A quick google search and I found Ginger (Church), not as well recommended as the others, listed as #13 out of 15 pho places, but easily accessible via TTC subway, just a 3min walk... More

For a quick Vietnamese craving/fix, try this place. Very affordable and the food is good quality. Have frequented this place several times. Menu is authentically Vietnamese. Order at the register - a number is given to you to place on your table and is then delivered. Self-serve iced water, and condiments, which include hot chili sauce, hoisin, limes, sriracha. Good... Had a quick lunch here. Clean place, friendly staff. Our table tried the fresh salad rolls, hot and sour soup, noodle bowl and a dish with noodles and chicken skewers. Everything was fresh and tasty.

I've visited Toronto at the same time in past 4 years. Ginger is convenient and local but the food quality has never been good. It's just okay. Sometimes that's enough but in the last couple years, and mainly this year the service has become completely indifferent. Even when I said goodnight to the young person behind the counter, he couldn't... More

I picked up some of my favourites from this place the first time. (pad thai, curry chicken) The noodles were dry and stick together in one big block, the curry was average) I wanted to give it another chance, I ordered online and after 10 minutes I called them to add something. After I picked it up in a hurry... More

Needed a late night dinner after a swim meet. Did take-away. The flavors were great! Portions were well sized! Price was super. We enjoyed it so much...we went back the next night and ate in.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
