I'm struggling to understand the love for this place. We ended up there on our quest to go to a few spots in the neighbourhood. It caught our eye with the food specials, and seemed like a good choice. Average at best is the kindest...thing I can say about the experience. The service provided by someone who clearly didn't want to be there was mediocre. And the food specials ended up feeling like a joke. The nachos were small and terrible, and the wings were tiny. I'm not sure if the food is always like that, or the dial it down for the special night. The beer list was fairly commercial and medium priced - very few local beers on tap. Overall, we ate, got out and moved onto better spots.More

Always a great deal on mussels night, great price, done in white wine sauce or red tomatoes and wine sauce or pasta night, always different specials. And worth the money all the time.

My partner and I visited here recently and we were so pleased! We were greeted immediately upon entering and asked to take a seat where we would like. Our server came to our table and took our drink orders and told us about the specials....I ordered the bacon sautee pizza and my partner had the quadruple cheese pizza. We didn't wait long for our order to arrive at our table and it was very easy to tell they had just come from the oven. They were hot and fresh. The dough was chewy and not overdone and the topping were perfectly spaced and evenly distributed. I would definitely reccomend a visit here - their menu is fairly big and they always seem to have amazing specials ($11 pizza on sundays .. $11 pasta on Mondays .. taco specials etc.)More

Banknote cork town is my local so I’m always visiting and it’s always amazing. Sam & Stuart the bartenders are friendly, unobtrusive, and have great taste in music ( Sam is in charge of the playlists). This game 6 against Milwaukee was intense and they...rose to the challenge with ease keeping a full bar of customers happy. Great food, great drinks and a patio for the nice weather.More

We had brunch, servings ample, food was good and service was super. Great selection of draft beers. We arrived just before brunch ended and they were out of home fries so we go fries instead. Fries were almost Identical to McDonald’s - yummy! Overall, good...spot for causal time.More

We love the Banknote bar. Its a great addition to Corktown. The staff is great and the food is great pub food. They have daily specials and they make some great pizza! They also have a nice patio outside if you would like to dine...there. Give it a try!More

Whether you choose to dine at one of the many tables on the outside patio or inside in the bright and airy dining room the Banknote is a great choice for lunch (or dinner or just for a drink). The menu is extensive but goes...far beyond typical pub fare. We thoroughly enjoyed the Baja Tacos and Nonna's Meatball and there's plenty of beer to choose from including some local craft beers. The service was speedy and most friendly and the prices very reasonable.More

Went on a Saturday with a huge group of friends and stayed all night. Great food (love the empanadas!), really good wine list and the service was EXCELLENT. My husband was happy there were a lot of TVs, would be a good place for a...sports night too. We'll be back for sure!More

We went on a Saturday before going to the theatre around the corner. I had the meatball sandwich with a side cesar salad and my wife had a pizza, we also shared the rice balls. Salad, meatball sandwich and rice balls were fantastic, Pizza sucked....She ended up taking off the toppings and leaving the crust because it was so hard. The place was empty from the time we got there until we left, therefore service was great. I would recommend based on my meal.More
