Our teenagers pick this for a late lunch/early dinner on our way to see the Ripley's Aquarium and the CN Tower. Location is walking distance to those and the sports complexes. They have a very good selection of beer, including local craft beers. Our server Nick was the BEST server we have ever had in any restaurant. He brought us... More

Recommended by hotel staff and since it was within a short walk, we decided to check it out. Menu is posted outside, which is nice. Early for dinner and initially the hostess led us to a tall, but small diameter bistro type table. We asked for a larger table to accommodate multiple plates....no problem. Server was fun and knowledgeable. Food... More

Service was ok but not very personable. Advertised burger was supposed to have guacamole but it went MIA apparently. An average bar with typical bar food.

Went here while visiting Toronto for the first time. Service was not good, very slow. Did not have a meal here because the drink service was so slow. Not busy either, so really could not understand why our server was MIA most of our visit.

Raptors in town - busy friday night crowd Lots of beer options - a couple enjoyed the burgers , the mac n cheese sandwich was excellent. Long history of pre game wings at the moose . Still a decent rod house visit.

Had nachos and some spicy Thai chicken bites. Everything was really good and reasonably priced. Great place to swing by for a quick bite or to hang for many many pints.

Good food and beer, the staff was polite and our food got to our table fast! The atmosphere was one of a kind, not like any bars in New Jersey. It was definitely an amazing experience, I highly recommend. P.S. if you are travelling from the states and pop by this bar, they DO take Discover.

We stopped here after our trip to the Aquarium in search for lunch and were pleased for the most part. The stairs upfront were a bit challenging with a stroller, but up we went and were seated quickly by the attentive and friendly staff. Beer list is long and comprehensive, and the lunch menu was quite good. I had a... More

Not for intimate dining but a great place to experience loud, obnoxious behaviour. Food is decent, service can be slow (except for drinks) but was a good experience after the Leafs game.

Description
Welcome to the new Loose Moose, featuring a brand new menu and the largest draught beer selection in downtown Toronto. Since pouring our first pint in 1989, a lot has changed at The Loose Moose. And yet, so much has remained the same. Our space is different, but our address isn’t. Our business has grown, but we’re still independent. And now, even with the most draught beers downtown, we’re no beer snobs. Never have been. Never will be. After all, staying true to yourself is how you make new friends - and keep old ones. Anyone who’s stopped by The Loose Moose to unwind after work, watch the game or make a night of it will tell you the same.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
