This is by far the best pizza I have ever had. The ingredients are beyond fresh, combinations are inventive and the pizzas are nothing like you can get almost anywhere else. The beet/mozzarella caprese is out of this world! The chilli oil served with the pizzas is also Amazing. Service is quick, friendly and even though you cannot make reservations,... More

This place was pretty awesome. Great wait staff and ambience. The pizza was a bit doughy for my taste, but I believe that is the style in Toronto.

Undoubtedly a hotspot for those working nearby in the financial district - don't let this put you off, as it's a very nice place to eat (inside and out), reasonably priced with a decent selection of food on offer. The staff were attentive (even though they were busy - I think the place is always busy - be prepared to... More

We were traveling from USA, staying in Toronto for the first time. I asked a local for a recommendation for good pizza. And we were directed to this pizzeria. The host asked if we had reservations- which we did not. After promising to dine out by a specified time ( more than needed) we were quickly seated. Staff was very... More

Best Pizza in Toronto. Fresh ingredients. traditional pizza compositions and non-traditional too. So hard to choose. wonderfully light and crispy dough. great little neighborhood too. It does get busy and I think a new option has opened across from the Shangri-La hotel. Appetizers are also worth filling your face with !

This location is in the ground floor of a high-rise building. It's not much to look at from the outside, but the inside is a buzz with a bar and benches that wrap down the length of the restaurant. I had low expectations, as I paced at the hostess stand. There was no hostess and just a bunch of wait... More

We spent a very nice evening sitting outside on the terrace of this restaurant. Our waiter was helpful and attentive. We enjoyed our excellent appetizers of meatballs, gnocchi and kale salad. We ordered three pizzas for four people - three pizzas would have been enough. The pizza is thin crusted and slightly charred. The topping ingredients were fresh and quite... More

The best meal we had in Toronto during our visit was at Libretto's on University. Unbelievable flavour , quality - can't say enough about their pizza. It was without a doubt the best pizza we've ever had. The crust was crispy and blistered and soft in the middle - perfect. The mozzarella and tomato sauce also delicious. Homemade chilli oil... We were looking for an Italian Restaurant to taste the best Pizza and were recommended the Pizzeria Libretto. We were asked to wait about twenty minutes before we were seated Though the menu was in Italian but their well trained staff able to recommend their best dishes. The atmosphere here with all the customers looked friendly.Frankly we loved the place

Simply put, this pizza reminded us of Roberta's in Brooklyn. That's a big compliment. Busy spot on a Tuesday so I'd probably call ahead if you can. The salads were also fantastic.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
