Got to love poutine. So many options and great start for first timers. Highly recommended going the original first and then changing it up next time. Medium size is big enough.

This was our first stop for food in Toronto after planning a poutine stop a soon as we got to Canada. Whilst obviously a chain the food was good with squeaky cheese and the rock music was also cool.

They have a bunch of different variations of poutine on their menu but none of them are very good. It's more of a novelty-type place. Fries are thick, under-seasoned and usually not very crispy which I think is their main issue. Prices are far too high for the quality of food. There's usually a line because they're quite slow.

So here goes the story... I had a 10-hour layover in Toronto but didn't check places to go beforehand. So once I landed, I asked a friend's Canadian friend online for poutine recommendations in Toronto and this place was the one that he suggested. I walked in, the place looked like another fast food place. I considered finding another place... More

Disgusting I paid a lot of money and I ended up just throwing the philly cheese steak on fries Small container, no flavour The fries was under cooked and where was the cheese in cheese steak. $12 of yuck. I have tried the one at 455 Spadina Ave and it was worst So that it for me. I shall not... More

Used to love this place. Haven't been n about a year and what a change. Short-staffed, flies all over the restaurant and the bacon pouting was not the good quality it used to be. Way too salty and cheap.

They had a great selection of types of poutines. It was difficult to choose but we did. We both left happy with full bellies.

This restaurant is small and cozy and the employees are great and friendly! The food is outstanding! The pulled pork poutine is the best and we took our friends and they loved it as well. We had poutine at several other restaurants and Smoke's is the best!

This was my fist time ever trying poutine. I got the bacon poutine in the regular size. It was very salty and there was way too much food for one person to eat. My husband and I wished we had each gotten the smallest size or shared a regular size. We thought the small size looked tiny, but trust me,... More

This place serves some amazing food. I would recommend the triple pork – stunning! Dining room is very much a takeaway restaurant set up but then that is exactly what you would expect. Thoroughly recommended.

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
