I got a Valentine's dinner package that was simply delicious. Their gnocchi was one of the best I've had in my life. Great presentation, even through take out. We even got a red rose for the occasion :) I'll definitely order take out again!
We just ordered in from this restaurant, which is a great place to eat in. The food was delicious and we will surely order in again, until they can reopen. Glad to support an excellent local restaurant during these difficult times for small businesses.
Had such a wonderful meal at 12 Tables. The ambience was intimate, top notch service but the best part was the food! Had the tiger shrimp and frutti di mare. All the seafood was fresh and delicious. Will definitely return!
Small but very comfortable and at-ease. Food is a little fusion, flavors from all around that keep you guessing what they are, and where they come from. Appreciate their attention to detail and charming atmosphere.
We went to 12 Tables recently for a special night out, and were not disappointed. The menu leans to Italy with a choice of pastas, but the chef's Polish background introduces other flavours in the other sections of the menu. We started with a mango...salad, followed that with pasta with porcini mushrooms, sharing both. The salad was good, the pasta extraordinary. Fresh porcini are not seen frequently in Toronto and are a real treat. The aroma seemed to just envelope us. For our mains, we both had duck breast which is prepared by braising, rather than roasted or grilled which would be the norm in France. This produces a result that is very tender and flavourful and the orange glaze added to the flavour. Extra sauce was offered and gratefully accepted. We did not have dessert as we are note big eaters. One small criticism. I personally felt that the addition of shrimp to the salad was unnecessary. The salad was great as is, and the shrimp merely add to the price.
The service was excellent throughout. The wine list was very well chosen with interesting selections at a variety of price points. We had a 2016 Rosso di Montalcino which suited the pasta and the duck perfectly.
They have done a good job with decor, and the restaurant feels small and intimate. We had a table at the front and noise was not an issue even though a table for 6 was adjacent. I could see, that if the restaurant were full that the back of the room might become too loud, but that was not the case when we were there. So much depends on the consideration shown by other diners.
Recommended. We do not eat out often in Toronto, but we would like to go back.More
Recently tried this restaurant, really impressed! 3 of is dining, every item each of us had well well prepared, tasty and served hot. Nothing to fault. The service was super friendly and courteous, nothing missed at all and very prompt. A great quiet spot in...the neighbourhood.More
The restaurant is small and the atmosphere intimate. However, there is enough space between tables to have a conversation without having to scream. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The food is excellent and well presented. We will be back. Highly recommended!
This restaurant is just the best kept SECRET. Food is amazing, very well presented and service is fantastic. Absolutely love the beef tartare, also lamb, beef tenderloin goulash, chicken and also fish Happy New Year andcct good health and prosperity .2 tables....now maybe 15.
Well If you’re looking for great food at a reasonable price this is the place to go. Their gnocchi is absolutely incredible. Their miso cod delectable. Cesar salad and soup’s are delicious. The people that run this place really know what they’re doing, all the...extras like the sorbet between courses, The little steak tartare and a ginger sauce to start off your meal, and of course the after dinner three lemon cello or ouzo. It’s the little things that make the difference and they do so many little things.More

The North End is a nucleus of specialty food restaurants and shops, especially around its Mount Pleasant Village area. Frequented by antiquers for its numerous collectable shops, furniture spots, and oddity stores, the North End is a maverick of the quaint and quality. Vintage toy stores, accessory shops, and cinemas welcome perusers to step back in time, while the wide pedestrian squares and the large
medical and business community inject it with a dose of modernity. With numerous cafes and Toronto's greatest number of independent booksellers, it isn't uncommon to see folks in this area at their leisure, reading outdoors and in eateries, and taking life a bit more slowly – even if it's only during their lunch break.
