Perfect portions with the right balance of proteins and fresh vegetables and fresh fruit. Delicious Turkish coffee served with a nice little piece of Turkish delight (lokum) and for my light palate just a touch of milk as requested (I know I know). Pogaca was served hot and soft and fluffy and was delicious. The décore lovely despite the strip mall location. The food is very good.

This is a very cozy, pleasant Café in Etobicoke in the west end of Toronto. The staff was unfailingly helpful and pleasant, but best of all....the food was terrific! Two in our group had the Melemen which they said was amazing. I had the pomegranate salad and it was crisp, fresh, colourful and so healthy. It was so generous that I had to ask for a box to take the rest home. We will definitely go back

This is my new neighbourhood breakfast place. The food is freshly prepared, simple and healthy, reflecting traditional Turkish cuisine. Great coffee and fabulous desserts.
Cozy place; lovely service; casual. Pick up options!

A delightful little café serving light Turkish fare for brunch and lunch. Setting is simple and relaxed, with a handful of tables, well lit by the south facing window. The place offers a selection of delicious gözleme for $15, and some omelettes and breakfast combos from $8 to $14. Be sure to try the genuine Turkish coffee.
Service is friendly and attentive. Parking is limited, although I don't know how vigilantly the stores next door enforce their "customers only" parking policy.

We've been to this cosy Turkish cafe twice for breakfast this week. The food is authentic Turkish, and is really well prepared. The service is prompt and friendly. The servers help with detailed descriptions of the food, plus there are large picture menus on the walls so you can easily figure out what you're going to get when you order anything with a strange sounding name. The table menus are in English as well.
We tried the Menamen (which is like the Arabian/African shakshouka, 3 eggs poached in a spicy tomato gravy), different types of Gozleme which is a kind of pancake with different fillings, like egg and spinach. The Sucuklu Golzeme, with Turkish sausage turned out to be amazing. For desserts, we tried the Baklava, the Ravani and the Burma, which each of them turned out to be superb.
All was washed down with bottomless coffee refills.
An excellent value for money place.

Wonderful and quaint cafe with fresh and delicious food. I am European myself and felt like I was eating at home. Fresh and ever so tasty, our meal was served with a smile. Explained to us, and the cafe itself had great ambiance. I was very impressed on how clean the place was. I was so recommend going here for it's authenticity and service . It's times like these I am so happy to have so many readers so I can share true gems!

This is our second visit to cafe galata. The first time was much better as this time it was quite busy and the service was slow and inattentive. The Turkish breakfast is our favorite along with the spinich and feta crepe.

I've been dropping into Galata Cafe quite often recently, in fact, every time I pass through that part of Toronto.
Their lunches are delicious, and they offer some wonderful baked goods too, all of which are prepared in their own kitchen.
The owner, Caglar, was there on each of my visits so I can tell that he's very hands-on and involved in every aspect of the operation.
Galata offers Turkish coffee which I really love.

If you like Turkish breakfast, I am sure you will like this place. There is not a lot of advertisement to this place and I found it by chance. When I went there on the weekend, it was packed and people were waiting to be seated. It is really worth it the long wait. The food was amazing. The staff was very polite and friendly. I highly recommend it for you for breakfast.

Found it by chance exploring Toronto's west end on foot on a melancholic afternoon. Had a grilled spinach cheese wrap and baklava and washed it down with some Black Sea tea. Awesome!
