We went here as it was close to our hotel and we were a bit jet lagged, having flown in from London the night before. Great welcome from the staff, lovely quick service, fresh food, and delicious wine by the glass. Came in weary and went out with a smile on our face. Great atmosphere. Would recommend.

The interior is very cosy and the food of excellent taste and size. I ordered a soup and calamari fritti as a starter and since it was late (ca 7pm) I didn't know how much I could eat (I simply couldn't "overflow" myself given the time). The waiter suggested mildly to just go for the order and decide later whether... More

Ive been here many times and Ive had the chance to try many of their dishes. But this has been an ups and downs situation. I really like the Polpo, the deep fry calamari and the tiramisu. All of these dishes are AMAZING and I totally recommend them. BUT on the other hand Ive also try awful stuff like the... More

Excellent food but the service is often a little slow (although friendly). Tons of great options and I often find myself struggling to pick between a few items on the menu rather than finding one thing that I love.

Some of the most authentic Italian homemade pasta we have had at a restaurant. Interesting dishes and selection of Italian foods. Good wine list. A little pricey but you get what you pay for as the food is made fresh.

Fortunately someone else was paying for dinner as this place is just a tad out of my snack bracket. When you pay $7.50 for a single bottle of Peroni beer you know you are paying for the rent. Lovely interior of warm woods and metals and attentive service as we were there at the beginning of 5:00 p.m. dinner. The... More

Went there for lunch with two colleagues from Conference at Sheraton centre, great location. We sat at the bar, bartender was very friendly and helpful. Had the daily special, Italian sausage with black truffles, on thick spaghetti noodle. Very tasty, however thick spaghetti is not my favorite, but it was a well composed dish. My friend had the tuna salad,... More

My husband and I went to this restaurant after arriving in Toronto. We had a very help server and the food was very nice as well as the wine selection. We were pleased all around and would return there and recommend to others.

We had a a great business dinner. The food and service was very good. Nice atmosphere and not too loud like some other places. Check out the light shades, they are re-purposed fire extinguishers

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
