Thank you for your kind words! I’m so happy you had a good experience. Hearing this made my day!
Me and my boyfriend were so hungry so we stopped in this little place. AMAZING!! The food was delicious. Honestly the best service ever. The owner was the most chill guy and had the best energy to him. Nothing bad about this place!
One of my go-to places for takeout! In terms of value, this place is excellent. One of the best momos in town. All the dishes I have from this place has been flavorful even though a bit greasy sometimes. For the price, one will hardly find another...restaurant in Toronto.More
We ordered takeout on NYE. It was so tasty! If you're looking for a flavorful meal, check out Garleek Kitchen. We ordered fried veggies momos, fried thentuk, and ngo tsel tofu. All were delicious, along with a spicy sauce on the side, but the tofu...was my favorite! Another tip: If you're close enough for pickup, you can save some money by ordering directly from the restaurant's website rather door dash, etc.More
Garleek Kitchen has THE best Momos in town. It is a hidden gem located in Little Tibet around the Parkdale area in Toronto. Chef Karma is a former monk who is the owner of this tiny casual down to earth eatery. This place can only...accommodate with a few tables for about 20 people. Visit this place for authentic Tibetan food but also on the menu are Vietnamese Nepalese, Sri Lankan and Indian dishes. My favourites are the Momos which are made fresh daily by hand. Both Veggie (made with wrappers with spinach) and Meat filled (beef or chicken) Momos are all delicious pan fried or steamed. A new yummy addition to the menu are the Deep Fried Momos in a chili garlic sauce are a big hit!! Other dishes I recommend: Curry Mutton, Fried Thentuk with hand carved noodles fried with veggies and meat. , Palak Paneer with Roti is perfect for vegetarians. They are open for takeout during these unprecedented times with self isolation. Following safe food practices with Covid 19 situation. A delight well worth the travel. Peaceful atmosphere — this wee gem is gaining popularity due to an unusual full page Toronto Star glowing review. Easy to access by the Queen Street streetcar this is not to be missed. The good is sincerely lovingly prepared...with an intriguing fusion of Nepalese & Tibetan variations on common Asian dishes. Absolutely well worth the journey to there.More
Absolutely wonderful little place. My friend and I happened to go in at random, and I'm so glad I did, as it has become one of my favourites. The host/waiter/cook(/owner?) is incredibly kind, attentive, and skilled at what he does. He immediately took the time...to explain the different dishes (since we were a bit new to this type of cuisine), and helped us choose things he thought we would like. Everything I have eaten there has been delicious - especially the veggie momos and the two types of dip that they come with. It's small, with only a few tables, but I cannot recommend this place enough. Even though I live on the other side of town, I make a point to come here often. The way I'm treated there always makes my day. What a great little Toronto gem!More
This is a sweet little gem of a restaurant in Little Tibet, Parkdale, Toronto. Meet owner and Chef Karma ans his wonderful wife Jenna. They are making absolutely everything from scratch. 3 types of the best hot sauce, 3 types of off the charts momos...and then come foods from Nepal, India, Sri Lanka and Vietnam. It’s a tiny, simple place with incredible prices. I won’t recommend anything because it’s all so very good. Please follow @joannasable on instagram for more food and travel.More
Very impressed with this restaurant. I saw it listed as one of the restaurant participating in Momo Crawl in Toronto and wanted to try out the food first and see what it was like. Happy that I did, they food was fantastic. The service was...great as well! They made sure my experience was perfect and checked to make sure if I had any questions or concerns if the food or service. they catered to my nut allergy as well which was great. Food quality was good and highly recommend people in the Parkdale area to visit here and give it a try. I will definitely be back soon when I'm in the area!More
This is the first time for Tibetan food and the first time at Garleek Kitchen. We were very pleasantly surprised! The food quality and taste is amazing for the price. You'll be able to take a taste for a few items and not break the...bank! The seating is cozy and only has a handful of tables but clean and tidy. The chef has a wide breadth of experience in both places and cuisines so I would say that's probably why he's been able to perfect the food. We tried the beef curry with rice, aloo dum with puris (2) and the combo momos (chicken, beef and vege). I've never had puris but they are the absolute comfort food--fried and doughy like a donut with a stretchy yeasty inside. It was just so good even on its own! However, I would say it is quite heavy and startchy along with the aloo dum (potato). Perfect for dipping. The beef curry is not like your typical Indian or Thai currys so worth a try and the beef uses short rib. We will certainly be back to try the soup and friend noodle and stir fry! Worth checking out if you're looking to try Tibetan cuisine for the first time!More
