I suppose it could have been a bad day for both customer and establishment but I would still like to document my experience. The entire place was quite full so I naturally expected some slowdown in service but the wait in line was too long. The staff seemed to think that talking to each other and flirting with customers who... More

We booked the meeting room at this coffee shop for a video shoot. The room was a bit crowded and ambient noise from the restaurant a tad high, but we made it all work. Parking is convenient at a GreenP around the corner. We had lunch there of drinks, sandwiches and pastries. The coffee is very good, which is their... More

Great little coffee shop, also sells lots of cafe treats, cakes, homemade ice-cream. Was nice to see lots on offer for vegans (I'm not one, but it shows consideration), and I could easily have bought loads of coffee acoutrements in their little shop.

I had to wait for friends so stopped for a latte and biscotti. Excellent service, clean atmosphere but facilities are lacking in free WiFi for paying customers. Maybe next time ????

Found this location while exploring the area and the Honest Ed's across the street. Nice selection of Vegan and non-vegan food choices as well as the full compliment of espresso drinks and milk alternatives. They also have a store which sells all things coffee roasting related and an on-site coffee roastery

Came here to try the syphoned coffee when we ordered 2 baristas had no clue what we asked for and proceeded to tell me they didn't have that and was I thinking of a latte?! Finally another barista knew what a syphoned coffee was ( it's listed on the company website) and to our utter astonishment it cost $13 for... More

In a world of Tim hortons, Starbucks, second cup, and now Aroma espresso bar chains...I like The Green Beanery best! I love their coffee! I am a coffee snob and once a coffee spot turns into a chain, I stop going. I'm glad that this place on the corner Bathurst and Bloor is in a nice area and grateful they... More

Have been here twice in recent days, the first time the coffee and my bagel were good next time both were terrible. My husband agreed. Neither of us liked our coffee the second time and our bagels were not toasted so it wasn't very tasty. Bathroom needs regular monitoring as it was quite messy when I used it. Also no... More

Unwelcoming if you dont look the part: trendy bearded cliché. Staff do not smile, they look envious. Don't even try to say hello !! Dont forget to ask for your receipt otherwise you cant go to the bathroom because the keycode is on the back of the bill!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown is a dynamic part of Toronto with some of its most stylish high-rise residences and heritage buildings. The area sees busy shoppers with bag-laden arms balancing lattes in paper cups as they travel from one luxury brand to the next, taking advantage of the proximity of high-end shops. The reflecting pools, jogging trails, and nature treks of the Rosehill Revision are always a hub of outdoor activity, and after a workout from either running or splurging, many take advantage of the spas and massage parlors Midtown has to offer. Away from the bakeries, boutiques, and glamorous old theaters of the district's center, locals use the weekend to embrace the more suburban feel of Midtown's parks, tennis courts, outdoor markets, and the manicured grounds of Casa Loma, while families indulge the area's state-of-the-art playground and learning facilities. Of course, no high-brow district is complete without a healthy counter-culture: Midtown boasts some of the wildest street art and full-wall graffiti of any neighborhood in Toronto.
