I ordered take away food from this restaurant after a very long time. the quality of food was not good, the rice was absolutely rubbish. it was so bad , I cannot describe it. it seems it had been warmed up so many times and...was cheap rice. for the dish size provided, very very pricy. you can get the same amount of food for at least $25 cheaper from other restaurants. I will never get food from this restaurant ever again. I do not recommend it at all.More
Decided to stop on Bayview , at Leaside and try this restaurant as the menu looked good and the terrace is very pretty. The food was amazing! Atmosphere also great! The eggplant appetizer was just delicious ,comes with naan/pita .The skewers of meat are done...to perfection and were delicious with the typical rice, which was also great! The special tea that they make in house was a great ending to our meal and then we had the Persian cookies, which are dipped in honey. The staff is so friendly and helpful.The owner is super nice and is there as well and can help you chose whatever you like to eat. I would definetly recommend this restaurant and will be back. I usually don't like the minced meat skewer , and I eat in a lot of Persian Restaurants ,but this one was the best we have ever eaten!It melts in you mouth.A must if you are on Bayview! I would highly recommend.More
After 23 years in Toronto, I found this authentic Persian restaurant. Very good quality meat and rice. Well cooked and well presented. They are open during pandemic and since they opened the restaurant in Bayview Ave., their quality didn't change, always the best.
We lunched here some months ago and liked it, so that we were pleased to see that Taste of Persia will do takeout and delivery during the Covid-19 crisis. All four of us had kabobs, although the lamb was unfortunately not available, so that we...had to settle for the beef and chicken. We also had some hummus and pita. Everything is tasty, and you will not go hungry. Indeed, the quantity of rice supplied is a bit overwhelming. The prices are also somewhat on the high side. Still, Taste of Persia does a good job of what it does, and it deserves support during these difficult times for restaurants.More
Back in the 80's, I had a great friend from Iran. He took me to my first persian restaurant and I have craved it regularly since. Taste of Persia was a welcome arrival on Bayview! This is our usual place to go for lunch or dinner. They serve great persian food. Very good chef. You wont be disappointed at all.
The service in this attractive small restaurant is friendly, informative, and expeditious. The food is very good. My wife and I both noted that the eggplant dish we shared as an appetizer was a bit burnt, but there was nothing wrong with the mains: chicken...kebabs in her case, beef stew in mine. Our friend loved his chicken soup. We will definitely be back.More
Delicious mid day meal. Hummus & babaganoush appetizers came with fresh warm pita. They are quite hardy portions so leave room for your main. Husband had the chelo kebab koobidea and I had the joojeh kebab..melt in your mouth goodness. The rice is done perfectly..the...salad was crisp and fresh. A welcome retreat from a busy neighborhood and a large selection of delicious choices for lunch or dinner. We tried the Gheymeh Bademjam, a delicious beef, eggplant and yellow split pea dish and salads, which we would highly recommend. We also tried the hummus appetizer...which was excellent.More

Had a hankering for Persian so I hit up UberEats for delivery. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the dish. Sumptuous and juicy kebabs with perfectly done Basmati rice. Recently opened, this restaurant deserves a visit. The menu is extensive and includes culinary influences reflective of Persian history. The baba ganoush was amazing and the accompanying naan was warm, soft and delicious. The vegetable kabob was grilled to perfection. The lamb kabob was tasty....A Persian stew with chicken in a pomegranate sauce with walnuts and spices was tangy and sweet. The accompanying saffron rice was very good. The only regret was not being able to try some of the other menu items. Vegetarian and vegan options were available. Service was great and the waiter was very knowledgeable. A repeat visit is definitely on the agenda.More
