The only reason I'm not giving two stars is because the food was decent. I didn't want sugary pastries or greasy fast food for breakfast so I stopped in Caplansky's for an Omelet. The food was good but the service was unfortunately horrible. The waitress...More

Best Montreal smoked meat in town! Love the Reuben sandwich and they have great local beers on tap! Parking on side street is free.

I was fairly excited about going to Caplansky's as I live in Turkey and never get to eat traditional heymish food anymore. Jews looking for kosher nosh should, however, beware- Caplansky's is "glatt treyf"! They are open on shabbes for one thing and the menu...More

This quint little restaurant appealed to me with its wonderful style and authentic looking food menu, the restaurant itself is nice enough with an indoor or outdoor seating area. I ordered the bbq pulled pork in onion bun, which in the picture looks incredibly fresh...More

We visited Caplansky's during a family vacation in Toronto. The smoked meat sandwich lived up to expectations and the potato latkes were some of the best I have eaten. Would definitely come again on our next trip.

Went in because I was early for an appointment so I had lunch there. I ordered their specialty of smoked meat on light rye. Choice of fries, latkes, soup, or salad offered as side. If you want slaw, it's a dollar more. Tap water was...More

Visiting Toronto for two days and heard from a friend that this place was great for lunch. Food was delicious and the staff courteous. Do yourself the favor and stop in. The only problem is street parking.

At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination
for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip
