Arrived in town early afternoon, and needed a quick bite for late lunch. Went in, seated immediately, and quickly had a 3 egg special with fantastic five strips of bacon , toast, and home fries. All were great, perfectly prepared, reasonably priced, and hit the spot! Nothing fancy-- just good, clean place with great food and service.

Accidentally stumbled across this venue when searching for a breakfast spot en route to the Eaton Centre - very glad we did as we went back everyday for breakfast! The location is deal - 5 minutes from the Eaton Centre and everytime we went it was busy (always a good sign) but we never had to wait for a table.... More

I can't wait to come back to Toronto just so I can have breakfast here again. Beyond glad that I was eventually introduced to this place. It has all the best breakfast options and lovely servers.

If you're near the convention centre in Toronto and want an alternative to the expensive hotel breakfasts you should check out the Sunset Grill. For a very reasonable price you get 3 eggs, 5 strips of bacon, pan fries and toast. Service is fast. To be clear though this is far form high end dining. The seating is a bit... More

We had breakfast here our first morning. It was a great menu and our selections were huge portions that fuelled us for a day of around 10miles walking... the coffee was okay and the grapefruit juice was just a cheap concentrate bottle I'd never buy in a shop but really enjoyed the food and def recommend. It was very busy.

The six of us walked from Sheraton and was seated immediately. Food was great, so was service! Lots of food. Good value. Place was packed and noisy. I would go again.

Found this diner-type restaurant on a walk through downtown Toronto. Service was good, food average. I did enjoy the French toast. At 1/3 price of my hotel's breakfast, I would do this again absolutely.

The staff was fast and efficient in taking care of the long line of customers. Amazing food! A little expensive for fresh squeezed orange juice. We are going back before we head back home for sure!

The food arrived quickly and it was nice and hot. I had the meat lovers omelet and it was huge! Was very good and full of meat. The home fries were also very good. Hubby had corned beef hash which was good but not what he expected. In the maritimes, corn beef hash has potatoes onions etc all fried together.... More

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
