Was brought here as a surprise date night by my partner. I moved away from Scotland 25 years ago, and miss the food, beer and whisky.... This was a gem... Started with a Pint of Scotland's best Lager... Tennents... Food was fantastic... no complaints... The sample platter with Deep Fried Haggis, Sausage Rolls and Scotch eggs was fantastic starter, accompanied... More

Nice Gastropub in Little Italy neighborhood. nice Scottish dishes and a very good fish and chips. Amazing selection of whiskeys and Scottish beers. The ambience is very nice and usually quiet, but the place can be crowded as well especially during week ends.

If you like scotch, this is your place. There is a large selection to enjoy. We came here at 8:00 on a Saturday night - we had reserved a table or we wouldn't have had anywhere to sit. As it was, they sat us tightly against the door to the kitchen. Across from us was a group who turned out... More

Terrible. I ordered Caledonian Classic burger and after waiting 42mins and reminding staff who were in chaos as credit card machine was not working. When I got my food it was STONE cold. It's a shame as Bar is nice and I am sure they were just having a bad night but to add insult to injury the bar maid... More

Would like to apologize for your bad experience with us.....we did have a crazy busy night and our computers went down, but this is no excuse. We strive to have the best service from our staff and great from scratch food from our kitchen....we fell short that night and I apologize and hope you will give us another shot. Cheers... More

Phenominal whiskey selection. Haven't seen anything like it anywhere else in Toronto. Food is traditional scottish DELICIOUSNESS. The haggis fritters are AMAZING. Even the people at the tabke who didn't like haggis enjoyed them. Also great atmosphere, very cozy, not too loud. Amazing and friendly service. If it was closer to my house I would be here ALL THE TIME

Why should you go to The Caledonian? I'll give you 4 Reasons: -Tennent's on tap 🍺 -Haggis, Neeps & Tatties -Scottish Steak Pie -Sticky Toffee Pudding All are excellent!! The pub also feels very authentic , with great service, a nice back patio and more whiskey choices then you can shake a stick at.

Great pub food and not in the exclusively greasy pub food way but in the full of flavour, decent options and some home style cooking on offer. Nice back patio, friendly service, and overall just a nice place to be.

Went to Scotland this year for a visit and we were missing going to a pub. Having never been to the Caledonian we thought we would make the trip from the wild's of Mississauga. We knew the place had to be good when it was packed before we got in. Fortunately we had reservations but were slightly early. We were... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
